Well on my server Tailoring is a bust for income unless it's Netherweave bags. An hour or two farming in Outland and I can whip up 15-20 bags that usually sell in less than a day at 8-9 gold a pop. Frostweave bags are hit and miss, Glacial bags? Pfft. Waste of mats unless your making them for yourself. I don't even make armor sets any more because the drops from the dungeon finder runs are better. I might make some things up to disenchant if I need some mats. Only way they could make tailoring a viable profession would be if they allowed us to dye cloth different colors. Even if they wanted to get fancy and have us get certain herbs to do it I am sure there would be people willing to pay to change the color of that Glacial armor. (Cough, cough smurf suit) Now I still don't know all the particulars for Cata but if they make it so that you have to see a Tailor to change stats on cloth I think you will see a big jump in income for professions especially blacksmithing but most everyone has that.

Same here. I spent a lot of hours gaining reputation to buy the 32 slot herb bag. I spend countless other hours getting the mats to make 3. All were going to make me about 1500g.. right? Wrong. I sent them thru the AH at lower and lower prices until they didn't sell at 150! So, I gave them to my guild mate herbalists and the OWE me now!
