@matt: Both Divine Shield and Hand of Protection will save someone from falling damage.

Couldn't believe it, so I just hopped on my Paladin.
And got the Going Down achievement. Hilarious. Looks like you'll be able to giggle at your gnome 'friend' anyhow. :)

actually, you don't even need to dismount yourself. If you look at the rocket icon on your UI, you can just right click the yellow dot to eject your passenger. =D
