The Queue: A rebuttal

Adam isn't the only one that can kick off The Queue with pictures of good-looking ladies from geeky TV shows. Behold: Christina Hendricks. You may recognize her from shows such as Firefly and Mad Men. I think I'll let the header image speak for itself and get right into the Q&A.
Pumabackup asked:
"I've been wondering about worgen and goblin death knights. How will they explain the story with them?"
My understanding is they won't. It's a case where they're not going to worry about the lore at all in the interest of maximizing fun. There probably shouldn't be any worgen death knights since they've all been locked away in Gilneas until after the events of Wrath of the Lich King, but it's just more fun if they can be death knights. It's like when they brought back Onyxia a few patches ago. There was no lore around it, she was never actually resurrected in the story, it was just for fun.
Jamie asked:
"Is there any way WoW.com can fund a breeding programme between Dawn Moore & Chris Belt to create the best WoW blogger?"
You frighten me. And I think Mr. Belt is already married with children, so you're out of luck.
JFetch asked:
"Why are there NPCs that sell higher level white weapons? These weapons seem useless since they have no stat bonuses, but cost large sums of gold. Who is buying these?"I'm pretty sure I've answered this before, but oh well. A few of my guild mates have bought them to level up weapon skills. The white weapons you can buy in Dalaran have very fast swing speeds. The Dalaran Great Axe is a two-handed axe with a 1.8 second swing speed. If you're a protection warrior/paladin and don't plan on ever actually getting a two-handed axe, you might as well use that for your skill ups.
It also just adds flavor to the game. Not everything you find on vendors is something you're going to take into a raid or use for character progression. The little things like that make a city feel more city-like. The random civvies living in Dalaran need weapons too, but they don't have the luxury of going out and killing boars all day long. Or ... you know, gods.
Grinton asked:
"I have met some RL friends that I want to play with, but they play on an EU Server. What would be the best way to go about switching?"
You're going to need to start over from scratch, unfortunately. You can't transfer characters from US to EU servers. You're going to need to go to WoW-Europe.com and repurchase the game and all of its expansions. Switching regions is not an easy task, but hopefully playing with friends will make it worthwhile.
That was our last question for today, but I want to jot down two notes for everybody reading: First, I'll have eye candy for the opposite gender on Wednesday. Ladies, don't feel left out. Second, my warrior is crit-immune, you jerks.

There should be a project to clone Archmage Pants. And to accelerate his growth and aging until the clones become equivalent to the Christian Belt that exists now.
He (they) could write several times a week, be on every Podcast (well, at least one of the clones can). It could be like Mirror Images, but much much smarter and also, permanent. See? It's actually appropriate.
It'd be interesting (and possibly confusing) if one of the clones chose to become a Warlock. Will that result in self-loathing?

When was the last time that there was not an extended downtime? Do you have any indication of what they are working on? It is too soon to be getting ready for Cat. Is there a secret patch coming or something? There has been no performance improvement so its not like they are working on the hardware. Thanks Sledgehammer

Worgen DK's can be explained easy.. Not everyone was locked in Gilneas.. That whole village next to Shadowfang Keep proves it.. Its easy enough to say that the Worgen of Death Knights are just those who were killed and resurrected from those people and are now looking for asylum.. They start at the DK quest starting area and will be popped out in the same place they always have, so really its not much of a stretch.
Goblin DK's are a little tougher to explain away.. One could just say that they were Steamweedle Goblins that got caught in the crossfire and resurrected and that the Horde will except them like they are the new Goblin's because its the right thing to do, while they have to work their way up with the Steamweedle (like we all do) because they're technically abominations now.

On the armory search result page, all hits are sorted after relevance. How is relevance calculated? Is there any way I can get my character to the top, and any way I can give priority to search results on a specific server (like my own)?

So, a valid question for the Queue. What is the sealed off portal inside the Hyjal zone with the large dragon maw made out of stone that acts as a doorway to it, down inside a valley?
I realize it is an unused portal, and goes nowhere most likely, but what IS/WAS it supposed to go to?
And while we're on the subject, Quel'thalas in Vanilla WoW, the tower that sits on the coast all by itself with the dock directly beside it. If you get close enough to the sealed tower's outside walls (read: hug them), you can hear a portal inside. Any idea what that could be??

Has blizzard ever said why they would not want to initiate a tri-spec talent option?
Jeremie Gallagher Apr 28th 2010 8:40AM
When are we gonna see some real effort on blizzards part to fix Wintergrasp unbalancing issues? On my server Malygos, Horde are out numbered by alliance by unrealistic amounts to the point that in the last 2-3 weeks we have had WG like twice. It would be nice to see the amount of players per side limited to a smaller amount. It would honestly be nice to see realm balancing where no one side could excede 51% total realm population.

That evil woman!!! she almost killed Mal numerous times and her only redeeming quality was her eagerness to seduce Anara!

I know I'm late to the party but I actually do have a question (not one that has anythng to do with WoW however).
Why is this edition of The Queue titled "A rebuttal" when the pictures clearly concentrate on the chest area..?
I'll take my leave now, don't throw stones. ;)
