It came from the Blog: The running of the orphans
Children's Week starts on Sunday, which means it's time for another <It came from the Blog> event. We will be doing the low-level quests out of Orgrimmar together, which will mean lots of running, fun and orphans. We will have another Fishing Party by the waterfall before the event begins, so that we can chat and get to know our orphans. Here are the particulars:
I am really looking forward to this and I hope you can join us.

Not really a comment is it?
Edmon Apr 27th 2010 3:26PM
/facepalm
Mimzy Apr 27th 2010 3:33PM
Yay. Sounds like fun. Gotta go roll a character on Zangermarsh now.
Edmon Apr 27th 2010 3:34PM
Aaaaand *POOF* in a flash of smoke the annoying comment just dissapears!

Nothing says "role models" for these kids like an army of undead knights that have died, been risen from the grave, slaughtered hundreds/thousands of innocent people, then sworn revenge on the Lich King for betraying them.
Based on previous IcftB events, that's what they'll be stuck with anyway. At least there will be some corpse-munching cannibals and some arcane addicts too.

I like the PVP achievement because taking children to inappropriate places is fun.
Dart Matsuraki Apr 27th 2010 3:43PM
You guys should really set up an Official WoW.com Ventrillo for these things. Would make communication much easier.
Samutz Apr 27th 2010 3:46PM
Only if everyone gets muted except for Robin, other WoW.com staff, and other select people.
Dart Matsuraki Apr 27th 2010 3:49PM
That's a given. It would be mainly so Robin would be able to give direction more easily.
Tokkar Apr 27th 2010 3:50PM
^^ This!

If only Robin would be allowed to talk, would the in-game voice chat work?
Robin Torres Apr 27th 2010 5:05PM
The in-game voice chat would work perfectly, because people would be able to join the channel and hear me without using any other program or headsets. I've set it up and tested it already and do plan to try it on Sunday.

<sniff>
<whimper>
<cry>
I'm still without WoW. I'm WoW-less. So it looks like Woolabulla will be missing this event, sad to say.
I hope everyone has fun, though!

This sounds a hell of a lot more fun than the actual in-game orphan events... =D
Vrykerion Apr 27th 2010 5:52PM
Fishing? How does that put the orphans in mortal danger? This defeats the very spirit of Children's Week! *grumblegrumble*
Robin Torres Apr 27th 2010 5:57PM
Oh no. The fishing is the pre-event mixer, where we lull our orphans into a false sense of security, er, I mean chat and get to know each other. When the real event begins, we will take them out into the wide world.

Sounds like a blast, Atabey (my newly turned 10 Shaman will be there, and what an excuse to level fishing ;)
