The Queue: Your turn

There you go, ladies. I told you I wouldn't leave you out. Enjoy your Clooney, the classiest man in the world. And you thought I was going to inflict the Twilight boys on you again. Bah. Bah, I say.
wulfishmojo asked:
"When the Cataclysm beta hits, will the Ask a Beta Tester feature return or will The Queue field all of our beta questions?"
We haven't completely decided yet. It's probably going to depend on how many pre-Cataclysm questions we still get when the beta rolls around. Can we justify running both? Do we have enough content for both? If the answer to those questions is yes, we'll do both. However, while trying to write The Queue it is becoming increasingly obvious that the community at large is pretty burned out on the current game. So we'll see what happens, no decision has been made yet.
nicholasnonno asked:
"Has the actual size of Azeroth ever been figured out? Officially or unofficially?"
People have tried to calculate the size of Azeroth as it's represented in WoW, but WoW doesn't represent the actual size of Azeroth. The game world is pretty condensed. All of the fluff and extra space in between landmarks has been yanked out. There are no residential areas and things of that sort. As it is represented in WoW, it's been calculated that the world is about 12km across, which is small. Really small.
Raziel783 asked:
"Do you think we will ever see a legendary that does not require 25-man raiding?"
If there were ever a time that this would happen, it's Cataclysm. With the Cataclysm raid changes bringing 10 and 25-man raiding even closer together, there's less and less justification for keeping legendaries in only 25-mans. It's possible that they'll keep it 25-man exclusive to reward those raids for the greater logistical effort involved, but that seems very odd if they're trying to remove gear as a consideration when choosing your raid.
Rantark asked:
"Weren't the press beta invites sent out? Why haven't we heard anything else since then?"
They did not send out press beta invitations. They sent out press beta invitation invitations. The press is being invited to accept the opportunity to get a beta key some time in the future.
Pretty sweet, I know.

Will Blizz ever adopt a LFG feature for 10 and/or 25 person raids?
Adameus Apr 29th 2010 1:08PM
I have a question for you gurus at the Queue:
Have we heard any word yet on whether the current leveling pace will be altered in Cataclysm? You can pretty much fly through the old world content up until around level 70 now, especially with heirloom gear. Is Blizzard planning to slow that down so people will actually spend time in the newly revamped old world zones, or will you still be able to zip right through it in the race to 85?

I have a question for The Queue:
"Dedicated to the destruction of the world and everything in it (including yourself)? Want to meet like-minded individuals? Join us Wednesday night at the community center to learn more! Free pizza!"
Seriously though, the goals of The Twilight's Hammer can't be an easy sell. There's really no place in the cult for "Christmas and Easter" members, and wholehearted devotion means the destruction of yourself and everything you've ever known. Yet somehow there are SWARMS of these guys running around Azeroth. How do they recruit members, and what's in it for the recruits? Is there some sort of promised eternal reward?

Question,
I play a blood elf priest and was contemplating over dawn moor's post some time ago about how priests are shifting from there original perception...What exactly do Blood Elf priests worship? Is it still Elune from there night elf brethren?
Thanks :)

can you tame an exotic pet with beast mastery can still use that pet when you switch talents?
Draelan Apr 30th 2010 6:51AM
No, you can't. When you switch specs or reset your talent points, your pet is automatically dismissed. If your current pet happens to be exotic, you will not be able to summon it when you click Call Pet. You can keep it in your stable, though, so you don't have to worry about losing it, should you decide to switch back to BM.
Also, be aware that pet talents get a bit wonky when switching specs... If you're specced BM and have those extra pet talents spent, if you summon that pet while in a different spec it will cause the talents to reset. (Since you need the BM talent to gain the extra talent points.) It's a simple way to reset your pets talents without going to a trainer, but it's kind of annoying in general.

Bit late in the thread, but regarding the size of Azeroth, a friend of mine applied a little math and physics to the problem. You can read here about not only the size, but things like elevations of various places and the acceleration of gravity on Azeroth as calculated scientifically. Quite a fun read, particularly when you go through the pages in order.

"it's been calculated that the world is about 12km across"
This is why the NPCs in escort quests walk so slowly.
