No, you can't. When you switch specs or reset your talent points, your pet is automatically dismissed. If your current pet happens to be exotic, you will not be able to summon it when you click Call Pet. You can keep it in your stable, though, so you don't have to worry about losing it, should you decide to switch back to BM. Also, be aware that pet talents get a bit wonky when switching specs... If you're specced BM and have those extra pet talents spent, if you summon that pet while in a different spec it will cause the talents to reset. (Since you need the BM talent to gain the extra talent points.) It's a simple way to reset your pets talents without going to a trainer, but it's kind of annoying in general.
