lol i just happen to be reading a post when i got home from work and this popped up right when went to the main page and found it i am proud to say first! Great episode btw, really enjoyed it!

You DO realize that all "first" posts are rated down into oblivion and often, depending upon the staff's mood, the poster winds up the victim of the ban hammer, right?
/eyeroll
What IS it about that "first" nonsense? Sheesh...kids these days. Why, in MY day, if we wanted to be first, we had to EARN it! We'd run to the playground at full speed, barefoot. Barefoot, I tell you! In six feet of snow! Uphill! Just to sit on a broken swing and yell out, "FIRST!" And we were thankful, but that is when being first MEANT something!
Yeah! It meant something! Frostbite, exhaustion and freezing your butt to a broken swing just so you could rub it in the other kids' faces that you were first!
Nowadays, all you have to do is hit refresh and wait for a new post. Bah, you have it SOFT! Why, in MY day...

Ahhh, yes. I actually saw this when it was on HBO, just after it had been released. (Yeah, I'm an old fart.) "Live at the Hollywood Bowel" "Bowl!" "...Bowl..."
Thanks for the laughs :-)

great episode hunters r very easy to lvl but when i did mine (my main now btw) i was also playing my death knight so my lvling was on and off. Eventually i got bored and looked at my lvl 69 hunter and two weeks later he was 80.. and i refused to lvl beastmaster. Pets shouldn't do what the player should.

passion on the 10/25 man scene again! :P
I'm still hoping blizzard pulls a JK! 15 MAN RAIDS NOW GO!

meh meh meh "but i don't WANT to play my alt. why should i HAVE to play my alt?" what are you, 5?
BoB Apr 30th 2010 7:18PM
Are you?
Why should he have to play an alt? What right does blizzard have to say how, and in what way he should spend his time in-game?
We should have the ability as subscribers to decided how we our time is spent. Say you really like warriors and that's really the only class that "does it" for you, why should you have to roll another one simply to avoid spamming your spacebar in dalaran? If cata goes the way of wotlk with raid difficulty we will all clear the first teir on tuesday what then for the rest of the week? Chaining 7 boss heroics? We shouldn't have to play an alt simply to get more time in a raid.
Suppose you could only do one battleground a week, or worse yet had to choose between arenas and bgs, would you appreciate it if blizzard said "no you need to roll and alt if you want to pvp more than 10 arena matches a week" no you would flame them endlessly for that. same with raids, we should have a choice to do 25mans or 10mans not be pigeonholed into one or the other.
/end rant

@BoB
The 10 and 25 man raids sharing a lockout is a moot point unless all raid lockouts are removed. If you clear all WOTLK raid content on 10 and 25 man on your main before the reset, guess what, you can't do any more WOTLK raiding on your main.
Are people such loot whores they want to get as much gear as quickly as possible and care nothing for the process of raiding?
Is it really that important to raid 10 mans with an overgeared experienced group so you can shout "WOTLK raiding is easy"?

WTB moar Mat McCurley D: he is the best guest you ever have on the show.

I think bosses could be locked on an individual basis between 10 and 25 versions of a raid. This would still give people flexibility to continue raiding later in the week or on off nights or with other groups if someone misses their usual raid time that week. The ideal is that you would always have raiding options for any of your preferred characters whatever time or day of the week you are able to log on. It seems to be this way for pvp/battlegrounds and 5 mans, no reason why raiding can't be the same way. More options = More interesting game = More fun.
Fryiuer May 1st 2010 7:14PM
I don't understand why you guys were harping on 25 man not getting more than a 10 man when the Blues said 25s will get more drops per player, more badges/points, and bonus's. Players have to do what's best for the Guild, not themselves. if a 25 gets more people geared and more badges for 25 guildies to buy gear, and a protector's mark of sanctification or something similar... Then that's what you do.
Feezee May 1st 2010 11:14PM
I agree Fryiuer, if people in a guild are so selfish they "won't wait" you are better off without them. Both 10 and 25 man versions of Naxx were available when WOTLK was released. If the players who rushed to 80 formed a 10 man to run Naxx 10 and came back to run 25s, they can do so again in Cataclysm. If they go off to form their own 10 man, then they were more interested in the loot than the guild and good riddance.
25 mans WILL have incentives/compensations for the organisational diffculty "25-player versions will drop a higher quantity of loot per player (items, but also badges, and even gold), making it a more efficient route if you're able to gather the people." Why should they get a higher quality of loot as well as a greater quantity? Gear quality should be determined by the fight difficulty, which will be equalised between 10 and 25. If you want better gear AND more of it for running 25s, then you are a loot whore.
Feezee May 1st 2010 11:14PM
I'm sick of all the "lol 10 mans are easy sauce" crap coming from raiders who overgear the content and have more raid experience from running it in 25 and 10. If its so easy, do it as a true 10 man strict with limited experience and limited gear. 25 man raids do not deserve to get 10 man "realm first" etc achievements.

Just because you're running it with scrubs doesn't make it harder; it just means you should find some non-loser friends. (Hint: what you call "experience" is actually the ability to comprehend game mechanics.)

sorry i guess, is that what u wanted? Jesus people take stuff too damn seriously....
