I'm with you. I love the absurdity of the quests and achievements for Children's Week. At least they're absurd when compared to what you might show or do with an orphan in the real world. Azeroth is a war torn land, so introducing these kids to battle and slaying seems normal in that regard.
The only thing I'm left to wonder is this: what lesson is taught by dragging these children around and forcing them to observe as we devour whole cakes, ice cream, and other treats without offering a single bite? The cruelty of war is one thing, but I think we go to far in this.
