Cataclysm beta character copy page active

The Cataclysm beta character copy page is available for those select few who have keys. Our understanding is this is a very small group. You'll know that you have a key and can copy your character over. If not, then you're not in it, yet. Don't fall for any scams.
Blizzard has not announced the opt-in procedures or any ways to get into the beta. When they do announce it, you'll hear it here.

My guess is that either they'll
1. Start some contest for a Cataclysm beta key
or
2. Beta keys have been given to the press and friends + family

Well, if you opted into the warcraft beta list then I THINK you should be but into a big giant hat with everyone else who has opted in, shook around for a while, then pulled out and given a key.

Presumably, a wise sage on this board knows when this happened for Wrath and can enlighten me as to the length of time between that occurrence and the official release.
For the record, I am not such a wise sage and my google-fu has failed me.

Wish I knew someone from Blizzard... this is going to be epic win though, this is the third expansion and with the number of active players and fan sites all Players will have access to real time updates of new things in the beta. WOW insider I'm looking at you for this...
