Bornakk -- Dalaran Children's Week Quest Line IssueWe are aware of the issue that is currently affecting the Children's Week quest line in Dalaran which does not allow players who have completed the quest line last year to take part in it again this year. We do not currently have a fix planned to address this issue at this point in time.
Bashlok -- Dalaran Children's Week Quest Line IssueTo clarify, this issue won't be able to be resolved for Children's Week this year. If you completed the quest previously you won't be able to complete it again for the other pet this year.

Read the quest text. Says you can only help the one or the other. If you did one already, it never sounded like you would've been able to do the other.

I was just saying...
If you read the quest text it says you have to choose one or the other before you even start. It isn't a quest reward, it's choosing your side and you're stuck with it.
Did it on my mains last year, and obviously can't re-do it this year. Just did it on a lvl 71 alt this year and it worked fine.
I'm gonna run it on another alt and copy the text, but pretty sure the intention isn't to come back and do it again next year, you just choose one and that's all folks.
I'm just stunned by the degree of rage over this, nerd or otherwise. And @Kay, I'm at 85 pets and counting, and having to miss out on one doesn't particularly bug me.

If you remember it really hasn't been a year since the Dal orphans anyway considering they went live after Children's Week last year. Plus you can still do all the achievements with the other two orphans.

Which you might also remember was due to Blizzard not implementing the quest in time for the holiday last year.

Well, maybe the Dalaran Children's Week is just supposed to be in the future. Dalaran was cut off from the rest of the world when Children's Week first started, so who knows how they've been handling their orphans then!
The wolvar and gorloc orphans of Alterac, of course. That's where Dalaran used to be!

Well traditionally, you can't consider it a spectacular anything without a hat trick. The same can sometimes be said of failure.

Strange. I'm having no trouble with the quests on new alts. Are you talking to the matron and hitting the dialog option?

My bank alts cannot pick up the quests, either, but that's because they're below level 10. Is that the case with your alts, or are you having a different problem? If something different, have you filed a ticket?

I had trouble picking up the stormwind quests but I found if I queue for a dungeon and went to one (while in SW) and came back the quests were available. Who knows if that'll work for you.
