Choose My Adventure: Week 5 stories

Oh my. With Foxlight on the scene now, the CMA adventures have become far more fabulous. Have you voted on his spec and professions yet? The polls are still open. Here is the remaining schedule for the week:

- Matthew Rossi as Andrenorton, his new troll mage: some time Saturday.
- Fox Van Allen as Foxlight, the blood elf paladin: Saturday, 8 p.m. EDT.
- Michael Sacco as Sahko, the orc warlock: Wednesday, 7 p.m. EDT.
- Amy Schley as Patent, the troll rogue, Adam Holisky as Adammentat, the tauren druid, and Gregg Reece, the orc warlock, will be making appearances as they can.
Advice for Annephora from Matthew Rossi, The Care and Feeding of Warriors
I'd say get Imp Revenge for sure, as soon as possible. It makes Revenge very useful for more than one-mob trash pulls, which is a strong point of prot leveling anyway. By level 30, she could easily have this spec -- imp HS for more damage for the warrior bread and butter strike at these levels, Armored to the Teeth for more AP (negligible at these levels, but then you won't have to remember to go back for it later), and you'll be free to work between Arms and Protection for the next ten levels after 30. This is a list of blue quality shields that can be picked up in instances between 20 and 30, and this is a list of weapons of similar quality available. Wingblade in particular is fairly easy to get for the level and is very nice.
Stories
Anne Stickney as Annephora, the troll warrior
Years an years ago when de land was still fresh and new, and de aspects of the troll gods still took de shape of trolls demselves, dere was a fisherman by de name of A'thut. He live in a small village by de sea wit' his wife and family. A small village, a poor village, but oh! Everyone happy, content.
One day A'thut go out to sea, to fish for his family. On dat day, dat day a great storm come, winds whippin', water violent and angry. And wit' it come another troll tribe, wantin' de land his village stood on. And dey took it by force -- wind and water not near as violent as dey. Dey slaughter every troll in de village. Man, woman, child.
Dey slaughter A'thut's family and left de corpses to rot. And as quickly as dey come, dey left, satisfied that de land was now theirs. And de seas calmed, and A'thut return home -- but he return to de blood of his people washing away in the ocean, dere bodies sprawled on de sands. He scream with rage! Den he swore to everyting he knew, gods, aspects, de earth itself, dat he would have his revenge.
Dat day, A'thut became a warrior, and took up de sword, and went to fight those dat kill his people.
First he went to de troll village, silent and angry, and he kill all de trolls in it, all by himself. Ha! He danced on their corpses and howled like a beast, vengeful and triumphant.
But, strange ...
He felt no better for it. De pain. it still there, and he raged even more for dat which would not go away. Raging didn't help him, so he turn to de next thing -- de water dat was rocky and wild dat day, and keep him from comin' home in time. He went to de water, and he scream at de waves, and de aspect of water came to him, her voice as musical as de waves of de ocean. "'A'thut!" she call. "Vengeance be not de answer. See de waves? Dey strong at times, but den, den dey be calm. Be calm A'thut, afore de vengeance consume you altogetha!"
But A'thut so angry, so wild wit' rage that he heard none of it. And so he took his sword, and he pierced her heart, and she dissolved into de waves demselves to get away. And A'thut? He was still angry, and he howl with rage! Someting fairly boiled within him, a tightness to his chest, and he went nearly mad with grief.
And den ... den de sun shone down on him, and a bead of sweat got in his eye, stinging.
He screamed, his blood boiling! And he screamed at de Sun, "I TAKE YOU NEXT DEN!" and started to beat on the Sun himself!
"A'thut," de Sun said, "Dis not de way. Feel de warmth of my rays, let it sooth you, and be calm."
"NEVAH!" the troll screamed, and attacked again.
De Sun grew angry, and replied, "Den I will boil the rage from you!"
And he did. And A'thut's blood boiled with de rage and de Sun, and as it boiled it spilled from him, and still he fought. Angrier and angrier! But den, someting odd happened! He started to shrink! Bit by bit, as de rage boiled out of him onto de grass below, he got smaller and smaller, and de Sun worked harder and harder to melt it from him, to make A'thut whole once more.
But it was too late. A'thut was so filled with rage, dat he melted away into nothing, his blood staining de grass and sands.
De Sun watched this, and de Sun knew dat this rage, the war inside, once it fill you completely ... dere's nothing left of you at all. And de Sun said "A'thut, you will live on, as a memory to others, and show dem what is strong." And in de place where A'thut melted away, the Sun shone brightly and brought life to it.
A flower.
"I be calling dis 'peacebloom,' A'thut. Peace within yourself, dat be stronger den any rage. You live on, you show dem."
To this day, despite de wars dat rage de land, the sun still shines, sends us a message. A message of a simple fisherman dat lost himself in anger.
Spirit walker tell me dis story afore I left da village. Tink 'e wanted t'talk me out of carryin' de sword. He finish de story, 'e look at me. I look at 'im.
"Spirit Walker," I say. "Dat a very good tale. I tink I go train, hit people now, hey?"
Spirit walker sigh, shake 'is 'ead, wave me outta de hut. I tink 'e mighta been a little cross. Well I try de ways o' other walkers, dey don't call to me! Mama say when you get you callin', you go. I hear call o' de warrior, so I go!
Now if dese zhevra had 'ooves, I be happier, I tinkin'. Someone oughta look into dat.
Robin Torres as Robinemia, the undead mageArugal is dead and I'm wearing his dress. The end.
Matthew Rossi and I discussed Andrenorton, his troll mage
Matt: Oh, and as for my mage, she managed to hit 13 this week, which is ... well, it's disappointing. Her adventures continue in Eversong, and she's finally made her way to Tranquillien, where she is now tasked with the eradication of the Scourge. No pressure.
Robin: No Ghostlands for you! According to the votes, you should be hanging out in the Barrens until 15 and then Silverpine until 20. Also throw in a WSG when you feel like it and at 15, start random dungeon crawls when you have time.
Matt: Oh, crapsticks. The Barrens? Really? Fine, I'll move her.
Fox Van Allen as Foxlight, the blood elf paladin
Dear Diary,
I knew that today would be a good day from the moment I woke up. I got out of bed and the hair was perfect. I didn't even need product.
I'm Foxlight. The most spectacular dancer Sunstrider Isle has ever seen. I'm going to make it big one day in Silvermoon, you just wait. Until then, though, a blood elf needs some cash, so I took up a part-time job as a paladin. Today was my first day on the job.
I never realized what bad shape our island was in until I started going around asking to do odd jobs for people. Did you know how absolutely overrun with mana wyrms this place is? And feral tenders? I'm not sure I did a good job though -- moments after Lanthan Perilon paid me for clearing out the tenders, he hired someone new to do it.
Whatever. This island is too small for me anyway. I'm on my way to Silvermoon, the big city. I sold off all my worldly possessions today (including my shirt -- I got a whole piece of copper for it) and began my journey. I met a lot of great people along the way who have been very encouraging. When I get to Silvermoon, I'm supposed to look into getting an apartment on "Murder Row." Supposedly, it's an up-and-coming neighborhood filled with innocent, shirtless blood elves just like me.
I'm not ready to put the security deposit down yet, though. I need more money, which means more paladin-ing. Being a paladin doesn't seem hard so far. I start most of my fights with Judgment of Righteousness, and then go get something to drink while I mindlessly melee my foes to nothingness. When I'm not hacking wildlife to bits, I do favors for the locals. I got paid 1s25c to "discipline" Apprentice Meledor and Apprentice Ralen. I can't say it hasn't given me some ideas for ways to make money when I make it to Silvermoon ...

AHHH HAHAHAHAHA! I lol'd so hard when I saw Foxlight's armory shot. I have a feeling someone is going to have to bubble/hearth to escape from all the ladies. ;-) Get em tiger or should I say fox.

All the...ladies. Yes, that's right. The ladies. Blood Elf males loves them some ladies. Nothing homoerotic to see here. Nothing at all. Just keep walking.
