Since the
Friends & Family phase of Cataclysm testing is currently active, it only makes sense that the private forum for testers is also up and running, as it has been in expansions past. And with that forum comes new icons for players who've rolled goblins and worgen! To the right, check out the basic (pre-85) icons for male and female goblins and male worgen, straight from the official forum art assets.
Unsurprisingly, and hilariously,
female worgen still don't exist, even in forum icon form. Unconfirmed rumors state that the model isn't even in the alpha client at this point. Wonder what the holdup has been for these past nine months.
Or maybe this is just a special icon for female worgen shadow priests. That must be it.

Internal tests show the female worgen model is bugging. What keeps happening are the furry boobies are poping out of any armor set and shirts and down scaling the boobs is not a option.

I believe the technical term is "teats."

It's the extra pairs that pop up when they shift into worgen form that are gumming up the works.
Yeng May 5th 2010 3:17PM
There is no female worgen. They exist as female humans, but when they morph they are all the same ambiguous worgen model.

THERE IS NO FEMALE WORGEN ONLY ZUUL

Hello , WoW.com
Me and some of my friends found this a couple of hours ago and we want just to inform that the female race in the alpha (in-game) is grayed out and it can't be selected (sadly)
We are working on digging out more stuff but we think we reached the end until somebody leaks the client.
Also , nice blog you got here but sometimes you get very untrusted sources (like the cataclysm "alpha" test in January that failed)
Cheers
~Jolesole.

Will the REAL Davy Jones please stand up?
(bonus points if you get both this and the game show it was a parody of)

Yes, Michael, why isn't everything in the game NOW NOW NOW NOW!!! For pete's sake, just let Blizz make the game already. I find the constant bray for MOAR depressing and disheartening. Immediate gratification sucks the life out of things that are good.

Does anyone else think it's kind of weird that worgens keep their hairstyles after transforming? It looks ridiculous.
Blacknimbus May 5th 2010 3:29PM
If the Hulk can keep his pants on after transforming, I'm sure it's nothing special that worgen can keep the same cut.
Randolyn May 5th 2010 3:30PM
I agree, they are already covered in fur, why do they also need a pompadour?
I hope there is a "bald" option, so I can look like a proper werewolf and not like Liberace in a dog suit.
Sedna May 5th 2010 4:17PM
I think this is why the female Worgen forms are delayed.
"Hey, guys, what's the holdup?"
"Do you have ANY idea how long it takes to code in that much styling gel?!"
("Sir, we are running dangerously low on high-gloss conditioner!")
Possum May 5th 2010 5:32PM
The hair looks terrible. Why on earth are Blizzard even looking towards tropical fruit for styling inspiration for the worgen? I can understand that blood elves had anime hair. Something that ridiculous and requiring that much styling and hair gel suits the blood elves (hell it probably even requires a little magic to keep it that perfect condition while you're hacking through your enemies and flying at high speeds on dragons).
Werewolves, creatures that are a step away from becoming literal animals? I don't think they spend two hours in front of the mirror every morning with a bottle of root booster and hairspray styling for that perfect look!

Definitely will be rolling a goblin mage to experience the new starting area and possibly race changing my undead rogue to a goblin later on down the road.
