I agree. Unless the song is growled in Swedish, played on a guitar using a Boss HM-2, and recorded on the intestines of infants, then it's not metal.

IS there Metal anymore? I mean, the last time I actually hear a metal band perform was when I went to see Death and Cannibal Corpse touring and that was a LONG time ago. I mean, is Disturbed metal? I'm serious, I honestly don't know.
It's not Motorhead or Napalm Death, but then again what is? (Answer: Motorhead and Napalm Death are Motorhead and Napalm Death, respectively.)

Yeh, I think the concept of 'metal' has pretty much passed. What we hear these days isn't so much metal as it is 'power-pop'. Or just pop.
