Is there an addon that will let me know if an item applies a certain buff? I have the Alchemist Flask of the North that I generally pop on for heroics and farm bosses, but because I'm a hybrid class it'll give me either AP or SP. I play as a healer, so obviously I want the latter. I use PowerAuras, but that only checks if the buff is applied, not what stat the buff is changing. I'd like to be able to click the button once and get a warning about the AP buff without having to go through my buff bars to try and find the Flask. Yes, I know I'm lazy, but things like this are what addons are for. :D

Lookup the actual buff spellID from Wowhead and apply it, instead of the name. Both buffs have the same name, but different spellIDs.

As you can use the SpellID it is possible to differentiate between the different buffs from Flask of the North.Check SpellID 67016 for the spellpower buff, SpellID 67017 for the attack power buff or SpellID 67018 for the strength buff.

Actually these add-ons increase situational awareness. As opposed to have a large amount of of combat messages cluttering your screen or having to look for the right icons you can have a large visual indicator that an item has procced or a reactionary ability is ready. This allows the gamer to spend more time looking in the middle of the screen at the field of battle. As an extreme I certain that if things like simpler visual notifications made one worse at a task or catered to those less "skilled" the Air Force would not use Heads Up Displays in fighter aircraft.

Thanks for pointing out that it is possible to use spellids in powa, but its not working for me.I used Buff, in the activation tab so that it would tell me when I had the SP buff from FotN as opposed the the AP, as I am a resto/ele shammy. For some reason, it was still coming up with the aura when the AP buff was active. I tried this numerous times and couldn't for the life of me work out why it wasn't working!Any ideas?
