As of late, I'm trying to minimize the number of visual cues provided by addons and moving to a mix of visual and audio cues.
Personally my reaction time improves if I keep the number of visuals I need to plan the next gcd down to a minimum. Audio cues don't impact my raid awareness as much and develop into pavlovian reflexes faster.
But good audio support is where these addon fail.
Power Auras would be perfect if I could trigger an audio cue with the same flexibility that exists for visual ones. There is sound support added to POWA as of late, but for the life of me I have no ideas of how it is intended to be used.... Maybe someone read the code and figured out how it was supposed to work, i haven't....
Forte does a better job, but the sound selection is limited to Archaic .wav files and doesn't use any of the in-game sound resources (why???) and frankly I dislike using it only for audio support.
I would really appreciate it if someone could recommend an addon that does for my ears whay POWA does for my eyes.
Maybe POWA already does this and someone out there actually knows how it's supposed to work :)
