Cataclysm new zones and sub-zones list

Maybe unused means that they were not changed or will be changed by Cataclysm. The screen shots that are up over on mmo-Champion show some of the zones listed in the unused section. That would lead me to believe that those zones or parts of zones will not be changed.

Another interpretation of the list is that [Unused] zones are ones that are not used in the pre-xpac world event. Perhaps because they will change drastically, or because of distant/obscure location (Teldrassil), or possibly some other reasoning.

My guess is that "UNUSED" mostly refers to subzones that are becoming part of their own zones. So with Darnassus, the city and everything in it will be referenced by itself, instead of referenced with Teldrassil. Same with Thunderbluff. Similarly, a lot of the unused Northern Barrens things seem to be part of what will be the Southern Barrens, hence 'unused' in Northern Barrens, but later used in Southern Barrens.

For a couple of them, though, it's possible that those particular subzones are going to cease to exist.

on mmo champions there is a picture of a wall separating the barrens from mulgore
myabe thunderbluff got destroyed by sum monsters.
