Daily Cataclysm screenshot
The latest Cataclysm screenshot from Blizzard is shown above, featuring a look at the Sunken City of Vashj'ir. It's like Tron, but underwater, and there's no computers. So it's not really like Tron at all.

considering all of the leaked info today they really could have provided something a bit better...

Is it just me, or does this feel a little anticlimactic after today flood of screenshots over at MMO Champ?
Falcon6 May 6th 2010 8:23PM
The info collected from MMO-Champion is from the current alpha build. I would assume that the screenshot here is from the most-likely complete version they haven't shown yet, with the graphics we'll see it as.
So while MMO-Champion has a lot of in-progress images, Blizzard will still give out the full-detail images. It's not as anticlimactic as you'd think, but it IS still a bit...but whatever, I'm distracted by the pretty images.

Yeah in every other screenshot so far there has at least been an npc/mob or a landmark of some sort. This one could be the sea west of stranglethorn for all they show. A bunch of stuff we will see but probably never interact with in any meaningful way.

It only ruins it for those who have actually seen the information on MMO-Champion. Not everyone spoiled themselves (no, I wasn't one of them, lol) and it won't surprise me if MMO-Champion get forced to remove the content at some point anyway.
An NDA is an NDA, I don't get who you are or what you do, it's still a legal-binding contract.

Anticlimactic, perhaps, but it's peaceful.

OMG... do you know what you just said? you DO know that there is no complete version yet?... The game is in alpha phase because it is not ... complete yet >

Can I have Cataclysm now? I mean...I NEED it now. Between the leeks and the anticipation...i'm just not patient by any means. Get Cata here Now. #4serial.

Under da sea...under da sea...
Rubitard May 6th 2010 9:42PM
When I'm not playing WoW, I'll have a handy fish tank screen saver!
Tim May 6th 2010 9:44PM
Some people in my guild don't want an "underwater" zone in Cata. I, for one, think its gonna be awesome and interesting. Looks so peaceful. I'll probably just hang out there a lot when I'm stressed...

I feel sorry for Blizz. They go to all this effort of slowly leaking screenshots to tease us, then MMO Champ comes along and blows the lid off everything.
Sciarc May 7th 2010 12:05AM
Yeah, I really really wish MMO Champion hadn't done that, but it's too late now.
Amaxe-1 May 7th 2010 12:50AM
If it can be found, someone will leak it. I guess all we can do is decide whether or not to look
Fletcher May 7th 2010 1:07AM
Eh. Looking at leaked alpha stuff seems kinda wrong to me, given that it's available to me because someone violated an NDA. Also I want to keep some of the surprise and freshness for when Cataclysm actually comes *out*. I'm not sure if I'll try to get into the public beta or not.
As it is, I'm happy to look at Blizzard's pretty screenshots, and read their posts about the new zones, and theorize about their plans for the classes. But delving into leaked stuff is somewhere I'm not planning to go.
