I hated School Of Hard Knocks when I did it last year, but eventually decided I had to do it; it's just a game, after all. But it was interesting how it drew out hidden traits from people. Sometimes the enemy was considerate, while my own side was cruel, especially against our own.
I hated it, still hate it, but I can see why they do it. Blizzard knows it's a horrible concept, and it's there precisely because it's horrible. Know what? War really sucks. There's nothing glamorous about civilians, innocent kids, being stuck in the middle of conflicts, sometimes being forced to go into battle, and dying. But it's what happens in real life, and it's the worst part of real wars. Innocent people are dying today, and we're to blame for it. And sometimes, looking back, those 'necessary military objectives' seem to have no more value than game achievements and titles, quickly forgotten.
Choose to do it so you can see what kind of person you are capable of becoming when you "have" to do something like this, and remember some people don't have the luxury of choice.
