i am incorrigible, a 2nd gen paladin. even before i signed up for my first training exercise in coldridge valley, my elders visited me and gave me a set of heirloom gear, saying, they were your dad's and now they should go to you.
so, equipped with pristine lightforge spaulders and polished breastplate of valor, i picked up my 2h repurposed lava dredger and 1h devout aurastone hammer and went forth, with the advice and warnings of my elders still fresh in my head.
well, there's something to be said about the older folks. their memory aint so good. what fearsome monsters that beat the life outta you in the valley? they are all so timid. plus, 1 good knock from my mace and they quietly lay down and give up their ghost.
damn, i must be good!
in minutes, i completed all the full basic training programme. what used to take corpse runs, i blazed through. i thought i should be the top student of my cohort, but damn, 1st place went to that gnome rogue with heirloom trinkets and even a dwarf warrior with the 2h bloodied arcanite reaper came in 2nd! i was pretty much way below pecking order. i consoled myself that i wasnt going to chop monsters all day long. my long term goal is to be FoL pally and all these folks at the top of the dps chain are going to need me to save their asses. hahaha.
anyway, suitably humbled, i made my way out of the valley to search for my new trainers.
