Cataclysm screenshot of the day
The latest Cataclysm screenshot from Blizzard is shown above, featuring a look at Hyjal. Hyjal is shaping up to be one of the most beautiful locales in Cataclysm, hopefully living up to the high expectations of those that have wanted to visit this zone since World of Warcraft's launch.

Don't worry, the entire zone isn't like this...this is just the initial area when you enter Hyjal. :P

Sparkle ponies...
Sparkly water...
You know, if the worgen are in any way, shape, or form...sparkly? Yeah...um...then I will just have to roll a goblin, devote all of my time, energy and resources into leveling engineering, all so I can develop the ULTIMATE GOBLIN ENGINEERED WEAPON!!!
And use it.
Yeah.
Use it. Heh...heh...
Somewhere...somewhere Alliance-y.
I think I'll start with Darnassus.
Can I interest anyone in an investment opportunity? :-)
Zhiva May 10th 2010 10:43PM
If you kill worgen which has loot table, the body sparkles.

This picture brings memories... Archimonde fight didn't go well with my acrophobia.

Is this the new Well of Eternity that Illidan made?
Legolastom May 10th 2010 10:41PM
If by "New" you mean "Ten thousand years old" then yes.
DeathPaladin May 11th 2010 1:03AM
One of the first things I'm going to do after the Cataclysm is take my Death Knight to Hyjal and go swimming in the Well of Eternity.
Because absolutely nothing can go awry by submerging an animated corpse in what is one of the most powerful (if not the single most powerful) fonts of magic in the world.
Here are the Vegas odds for what will happen:
12:1 - The undead energies that animate me will seep into the Well and start corrupting Nordrassil
6:1 - I'll be infused with the powers of the Well, transforming me into some sort of superhuman creature with abilities that would make Knaak roll his eyes and call me a Mary Sue.
4:1 - My face will melt like the Nazis at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark
2:1 - I'll become slightly damp
Taking all bets!

KT and the Sunwell v2.0
So would the night elves go to be nature addicts ? :D
Tokkar May 11th 2010 4:36PM
KT and the Sunwell?
Do a little dance!
Make a little love!
Get...
...oh. Heh. Sorry.
Fletcher May 10th 2010 11:40PM
I was under the impression that Nordrassil was actually planted *in* the second Well. So it might be the Well, it might just be a sparkly pond.
Also, I'm almost *certain* we've seen this night elf building already, in the Cataclysm page's Mount Hyjal preview. Only that shot was taken from the other side of the lake.

Better look at it now before the Night elves decide to blow it up again.
Flyp May 11th 2010 12:34AM
