Cataclysm screenshot from Blizzard is shown above, featuring a look at what appears to be a few members of the Twilight's Hammer enslaving a gronn in one of the new Blackrock Mountain regions. The
Blackrock Caverns, perhaps? The presence of the gronn is interesting, because their original description implied they were strictly from Draenor. Did Deathwing bring them to Azeroth? Do they actually originate from somewhere else entirely?

The reason for the Gronn is obvious. The Gronn hurt the Black dragonflight. Badly. Blade's Edge is proof of that. Deathwing? Not really the forgiving type. Now he's going to make the Gronn hurt.

This. Considering there is ample reference to the Black Dragonflight in Draenor (Netherstorm, etc...) here's to hoping that there are some nice ties between Cataclysm and BC.

As an Alliance we should regret killing Gruul, he helped the expedition kick Deathwings behind before and who cares about stupid ogre tribes anyway.
I bet that Baron guy outside the BE Arena tricked us into killing him.
As Horde it's important for the Mok'nathal.

I'm still hopping for another Gronn boss fight.
Not to say I liked Gruul, but I like the concept.

I remember Gruul slamming the ground and sendin my flying.. I guess those smaller Gronns pissed him off something massive and he threw them across the Twisting Nether, through the Dark Portal where they got a lift to Duskwood from a drunk Alliance Netherguard Keep fella. No-one is ever in Duskwood, so they went north... found some girls necklace while taking a bath in a lake, ate her cat, and then got captured by those Twilight freaks after wondering too far north in search of gnolls.

Would Blizz really post a placeholder image on their official screenshot of the day page though? I can understand placeholder for leaked alpha/beta pics, but for official stuff from Blizz? It's gotta be intentionally a gronn.

Gotta agree with RogueJedi86. As pointed out upthread, it's not as if the Black Dragonflight doesn't have a history with the gronn, and with Deathwing back in the saddle (and Gruul and his sons killed by players) Cataclysm would be the time for some payback.

I have to disagree. It may be a gronn, but I think that an ettin ( http://www.wowwiki.com/Ettin ) is a much better guess at what it is. These Ettin even use the Gronn model as a placeholder.
