I've always said that WoW is a perfect sandbox for any I/O psychologist (which just to happens to be what I study). It'd definitely be interesting to pull the parallels in leadership and team management.

if it helps, i have been in my guild for nearly 2 years (since my main was 13), have been an officer for 1 1/2 (as soon as i hit 60, i was voted in at 42) and am now the defacto raid leader, and for the most part the GM (without the title) .
i am the officer that is most active in recruiting, scheduling events, helping alts/new members, pretty much running the guild. i am even the one that is scheduling officer meetings.
im not trying to beg, just give examples why this would be good for me as a soon to be GM if it continues.
