I just got my second issue this week. The content feels a lot more current this time around (last issue they had advice for ToC, which seemed too little, too late). It still seems a little light on content for someone who compulsively checks wow.com and mmo-champion, but it is downright beautiful!

A shame they can't sneak in some Cataclysm stuff. Coming out quarterly leaves it in the dust, so by the time this ships, we'll all be high off the Cataclysm info. Maybe the dragon article will have some nice details on the Black and Twilight dragonflights?

It's already shipped.

Looking at the preview it feels like this is just "We printed out some Wowwiki articles and put some pretty pictures on them".

Yeah, you could say that but I still feel better paying for this than I did when I got a star pony.

I think a quarterly magazine for a topic that is updated daily around the internet (namely, the World of Warcraft) is not very attractive. I read wow.com every day, and there's several blogs or fansites I will check in on once in awhile. I don't really know, content-wise, if a magazine can compete with that.
However, it sounds like the art is going to be pretty nice. Kudos to the art team, then. It is also neat when they ask the community for advice.
Really, when you get down to it, that's the coolest part about WOW. The community.

They didn't even bother to mention Twin Emps...

I just subscribed to this magazine, am I really going to have to wait 10 weeks before I see it? That's what it said in the email.

Yeah I got the second issue as well on Monday. I was wondering when wow.com was going to be reporting on it being shipped.
It includes a strategy guide for ICC just like the 1st issue had for TOC, some dragon lore, and a lot of preview pages for Cata zones. It'd be nice if someone out there took a look at the strategies they posted cause some of them look really... lacking.
