I saw Patrick Stewart in his one man Shakespeare show years ago. Well, it was more like a one-man show featuring a lot of famous Shakespeare soliloquies but it included several other important roles that he had done over the years. This was at the height of the TV show's popularity. He is an impressive stage actor and was obviously enjoying himself immensely. About 2/3 of the way through the evening he said, "Well, I suppose the evening wouldn't be complete without an appearance from a certain starship captain." He then walked across the stage, straightened his coat in that very Picard-esque move that he made so famous and then sat down without saying a word. He then continued on with more Shakespeare and theatre. It was a great moment. There were quite a few confused rumblings from the Trekkies in the crowd, but I loved it.
