Around Azeroth: Running on empty
Sure, all of those engineering mounts look nice, but has anyone thought about the damage they're doing to the environment? Well, I guess this is Hellfire Peninsula, so there's not much environment to damage. Submitter duo Rekijitsu and Elzinia of <Heroes Never Die> on Anub'Arak write, "Who knew rocket fumes could be so hazardous ... and translucent ... to your health? Blizzard apparently didn't field test their rockets much, as these two have developed unnaturally greenish-purple, translucent skin. Rocket smoke: Don't breathe this!"
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as emailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use Alt Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

Will it blend?

It looks like a fel boar ate your ignition key and crapped on your rocket too!

The article is a life, that's no engineering mount! As awesome as it would be to give it to those filthy Goblin-spec Engineers, Blizz wants you to recruit someone else and get them to play for 2 months before you get that mechanical mount. Clearly a continuation of the Engineering non-love that the TCG started!
(Yes I'm a bitter engineer who wants to make the cool mechanical crap from the TCG and also this rocket mount, why do you ask?)

Seriously. This is the fourth rocket (including the slow blue TCG rocket that comes with the red fast one) not available to engineers.

Oh yes, I have .. on my WCO blog: http://warcraftoutsiders.com/?p=1049
*cough* Pollution! *cough*

"Is it just me, or is the air a bit dirtier than it used to be? Turbo-charged flying machines, mekgineer choppers, the new refer-a-friend X-53 touring rocket, and not to mention all of the vehicles in Ulduar and Wintergrasp. Soon goblins will be driving their very own cars! Yes, it seems the once fresh, clean atmosphere of Azeroth is destined to become more polluted than trade chat.
At first I thought the whole “ice stone” melting incident was a farce .. just a part of our natural, cyclical climate change. But what if all of this engineering exhaust is causing irreparable damage? Perhaps it’s the pollution itself that causes “Cataclysm” and not the return of Deathwing like we’ve been told. It seems we are amidst the industrial revolution of Azeroth, and the progression of technology cannot be stifled any longer. As an engineer myself I have to wonder about the effects I have personally had on WoW’s environment .. crafting machines, bombs, and even extracting motes /eternals on a daily basis. For shame."
Very cute pic, but I still think the air in hellfire needs love too :)

Glad to see my "Will it Blend" reference wasn't missed!

Also, for any shadow priests wondering...
This mount does in fact turn the "partner" of yours shadow-like! I was surprised when I first saw it.
But I think the *best* part about this mount, especially for a priest, is you can tell your friends to try the ride out for fun, ride them around a bit, but then dismount and kill them! ... While you levitate away safe and sound!
