Yeah, I am actually the opposite myself, which is weird.I am recently RETURNING to WoW after a long sabbatical (about 6 months actually) cause I wanted to play something I understood. Thanks to the new availability of high end gear and the ease of badge farming, I am quickly becoming "Raid ready" on my pally tank, but am having a hard time finding either a guild I can work with (casual, weekend raiding only) or a good guild looking for a PuG OT for a raid. Perhaps it is the role that is difficult to PuG (tank's, it seems generally tend to be the backbone of raiding guilds), but I am not having much luck so far. That or my server sucks....

All of the above? My situation is ironically the answer to yours. My guild is just starting to raid together (most of the raider types have been PuGging the whole time while the guild remained way too casual). We now have a 10 man group, but when we are short, someone switches to an alt to fill in roles. What role do we almost always end up pugging? OT.Then again, I think you are in the position that DPS fill in the lfg tool. There is no shortage of tanks when we pug one for a raid, which is another reason we are willing to go this route. I watched a ToC25 fall apart last night because a couple dps left and after an hour of trade spam, others began to leave. Yet we always get an OT in a matter of seconds. *shrug*
