The Queue: Stupid fat moonkin

Atdt1991 asked:
"What's the latest on moonkin skin updates? I'm dyin' here!"
The last Blizzard response to this question that said while Tree of Life was definitely getting a cosmetic upgrade, moonkin might not, because it's so "iconic," and because there are a lot of other art tasks on Blizzard's plate right now. You're probably going to have to deal with your fat, dumb bearbird for the foreseeable future. Sorry about that.
Camsom asked:
"This question was already addressed back in April but with the recent leaks I wanted to know if there was any clarification.
Will there be new Capital Cities for the worgen and goblins that function similarly to those of the Belfs and Draenei? From what I can tell both cities will be added, Gilnaes sounds like it will be part of a "Taking the Undercity" type event, but from the recent list of zones and subzones it appears to also be a normal city. Has there been any word from Blizzard on this subject? I know they said that there will be no new neutral city, but have they said anything else?"
Neither the new races nor the sidekick races (trolls/gnomes) are getting new, functional capital cities. When I say "functional," I mean a place with an auction house and a bank and other amenities. Gilneas City is a battleground after the worgen starting experience completes, Kezan isn't accessible after a certain level, and Gnomeregan and the Echo Isles just become new starting areas, not functional cities.
GeofforySWC asked:
"Does the mastery system only apply to your talent tree with the most points spent in it, or will you get a bonus from a secondary tree in a 51/XX/XX talent setup?"
You'll only receive mastery bonuses for the tree in which you spend the most points. Otherwise, pure DPS classes or hybrids with two DPS specs could double-dip mastery bonuses extraordinarily well, and other classes would be left in the dust.
Nrossel asked:
"Now that we killed the Lich King, well, Arthas. What happened to his body? Is there any grave for him?"
Not that we know of. Maybe in Cataclysm?
RG asked:
"Why are some NPC's (Faction leaders, Raid bosses, etc...) listed as level "??? Boss"? Wowwiki says this is a "variable level" but generally considered 3 levels above the player so why not show each player that level?"
Would you mess with some dude whose power level was indicated by a skull?

Don't make a new model, just recolor the existing skins so we have more options than purple/yellow. PLEASE METZEN.

Why is there an extra 999 rep to earn after you hit exalted? Is it just there to rub in our face that yes indeed, you have to do those dailies one last time if you want the bar to be full.
Snuzzle May 14th 2010 7:43PM
@Schadenfreude
They just need to do the same thing with moonkin that they need to do with player models: more polys, higher-res texture. And yeah more colors would be cool but I'm not gonna get greedy. Even OGRES got an overhaul of their model in vanilla for cripes' sake, give the boombirds some love.
Angrycelt May 15th 2010 4:40AM
There are already moonkin models all over the world in varying colors. Should be easy enough to code like the cats and bears. White hair/fur = winterspring white moonkin. Green hair/brown fur = Brown Hinterlands moonkin. etc. etc.
If the only thing that differentiates me at this point is my weapon, at least let me get some unique (well, at least a possibility of varying) color to stand out.

I agree they should just do a quick touch-up on the model. And provide different horn options. Playing a Troll Druid with antlers in moonkin form just seems wrong.

The best speculation for the 999 exalted points is to prevent you from accidentally dropping out of exalted if you do something that lowers rep with that faction. If there was only 1 point over exalted, you might accidentally, for example, kill something that lowers your rep and drop back to revered. The 999 gives you a buffer.

Just say it for what it really means: they are to chopping up the druid Resto tree, they dont have time to tinker with the boomkin skin.

I was trying to say:

I want to see the moonkin have a short range flight ability....i mean come on they are part bird. That and it would be funny.
TiM May 14th 2010 5:50PM
Moonkin Charge. I approve of this but only if we get to yell BECAW!! as we fly through the air at our target. Maybe a fly up and a thunderstomp (sit?) landing on our target.

Star pony outfit for moonkins will be sold in Blizzard stores for 20$.

"Neither the new races nor the sidekick races (trolls/dwarves) are getting new, functional capital cities."
"Sidekick races"? What does that even mean?
And why would the dwarves be getting a new city?
I-man May 14th 2010 4:08PM
I think dwarves was supposed to read gnomes.
PocketFox May 14th 2010 4:10PM
"Sidekick" probably refers to the fact that trolls and gnomes (pretty sure "dwarves" was a typo :P ) don't have their own cities or (currently) their own starting zones. They piggyback on the orcs and dwarves, as their sidekicks.
