WoW Moviewatch: Icecrown Raiding
With that information, it's understandable that I instantly fell in love with Icecrown Raiding by Propostris and Bloodvein Movies. Both the lyrics and video did an amazing job capturing that original classic by Mr. Van Winkle. Of course, the parody is obviously tailored towards World of Warcraft. In that sense, I think Icecrown Raiding will help forge a new way for night elf rap, making Propostris a new contender for the WoW-rap throne inhabited by belf rap.
Ultimately, this is a fun video. I guess if you don't see any irony or fun in Vanilla Ice, then you probably won't dig it. That being said, if you have any embarassed fun left in your heart for the Running Man, you'll definitely enjoy it. Be sure to note the cityscape behind the performers; it's a dead-on homage to the original video!

I appreciate the Glee comment. Thank you for that

That was exquisitely well-done.
We can only hope and pray that Propostris will continue this glorious homage, and move on to a parody of "Ninja Rap".

@Bloodvein -
Indeed I am, sir. The finest Ninja Turtle theme song produced in 1991. I think it'd make a natural progression from the masterfully-done adaptation of "Ice, Ice Baby", with a quickly recognizable riff and naturally engaging lyrical structure.
Have YOU ever seen a turtle get down?

Great video! Loved the lyrics and the imagery matched well.
Does anyone else pronounce belf like a sound one makes when vomiting? Bbbeeeeeelllllllffffffff. I think I am supposed to be saying "B Elf", but my way is funner.

You know how to tell what generation you are from? When the song first starts playing, you get mad when you find out it is under Pressure by David Bowie :P. Come on, come on PRESSURE! Damnit!
Glaras May 14th 2010 2:21PM
Yeah, that opening always says "Under Pressure" to me. So I guess *I'M OLD*, thank you very much.
And get off my lawn.
KrisseyB May 14th 2010 2:50PM
Under pressure is Queen.
Robin Torres May 14th 2010 2:54PM
Under Pressure is Queen AND David Bowie.
I got over Vanilla Ice stealing the riff when the song first came out.

Great parody of a terrible song which was a sickening ripoff of a great song. Does that equal redemption yet?
Gleeking out right there with ya.

So I now realize that I wish I had the situational awareness in raids as I do when listening to music. I realize this as while I can understand the call that this is a blatant rip off or whatever, I can tell the riffs apart. Sure, I've gotten it mixed up a time or two, but it's rather rare and usually because the music is in the background and so I miss the differences. Even then, outside of weirdos like me, there is only a few people who would play both enough that context of music, or in cases like this, the video graphics and title, don't make it obvious even during those few seconds before vocals kick in which it will be.
Oh and now I have appropriate music for my raid tomorrow, awesome!
Since this came up in Robin's thread, I just have to give a shout out: Word to Guildmother ;)

@Glaras
I'm thirteen, and that intro STILL says Under Pressure to me!
