Yeah this is the third 'gearing up a fresh 80 mage' but the focus is a bit more relevant for these times. However, I do not think its possible to get to revered w/o setting foot in a heroic, so you should remove these from the list.
What strikes me nowadays is that the BOEs are so damn common. I just did 3 dungeons and saw 5 drop, and I vendored a few BOEs myself (i know, vendor...just not worth the effort any more).
Go hit the AH, spend 1000g (and surely you have that much at this point in the game). Get the cheap enchants, enchant your blues. Get the cheap rare gems. These are only 10-50g each. Every single class should do this. THere is absolutely no excuse why you must hit heroics the second you turn 80. Spend an hour or two, respec for heroics, get some gear, enchant it, figure out a good dps rotation, and go at it. Try to improve your dps every run.

Depends on how you level. If you just bust through the quests to get to 80 as fast as possible, then no, you won't be revered.
My paladin--my 4th 80 in another 2 levels--does the cooking and in-Dalaran fishing dailies, combined with the couple quests in Borean Tundra, and is revered with Kirin Tor. Also with Alliance Vanguard/Valiance due to doing those quests. It -is- possible if you focus on some of the quests and dailies on the way to 80.
Also, doing lvl 80 normal instances (UtPinn, Oculus, Halls of Lightning, etc) with a tabard on will net reputation, last I checked.
Like I said, since this is the 4th character I'm leveling through Northrend, I'm not feeling a huge rush to reach level cap, though the extra gold for the higher level zones I'll hit after she's 80 will definitely be nice. So I'm dinking around and looking at stuff I haven't really since my first 80.

At least with Ebon Blade its very easy to get to Revered if you do your dailies. I was almost Exalted with them before I started wearing my tabard just doing the Icecrown dailies for them.
