I certainly agree that the timeline in game may not align with the published stories, so Cho'gal and Med'an may not have gone head-to-head yet. And I admit the oversight of calling Cho'gal the first doomsdayer in Azeroth, though as far as we know he was the first to lead a large organized group of varying success (I don't really count the Night Elf Highborne with this because their main focus was to be granted power from Sargeras, not to destroy Azeroth). I suppose there could have been other organized groups before the Twilight's Hammer, but they were weak and unsuccessful enough to not ever be mentioned in the lore thus far (the Qiraji I don't count either because the entire race as we know it was involved and no one outside of their race were included, so it would strongly suggest generational forced slavery of the minds and souls; no way to choose doomsday or not).I remember very few references of the Twilight's Hammer Clan (or their goals as a clan) while still on Draenor, I would like to update myself with your sources. The earliest I remember (off the top of my head, so it definitely could be earlier) the Twilight's Hammer being apocalyptic was when they agreed to help Gul'dan seek the Tomb of Sargeras in the Second War (Warcraft II). When the player defeats the renegade Horde clans (I believe there were 3 of them), the Twilight's Hammer Clan was believed to be destroyed. However, we know that remnants of the clan survived and still under Cho'gal's leadership. It was at this point that they either fully embraced their apocalyptic goals, or stopped keeping it hush-hush (hinted but not quite admitted). It is also at this point that it expanded to include all races. At this point that the Twilight's Hammer changes from a clan and becomes more of a cult instead. But as Cho'gal himself was an Ogre, it could be argued that the inclusion of multiple races does not prevent clan status. Therefore, the Twilight's Hammer could be still considered to be a clan (with many many adopted members) as well as a cult. What we see now is an evolution of the clan, and not just a recycling of the name.Either way, Cho'gal is/was the first leader/ruler of the Twilight's Hammer in its present state and no other members question his authority.

I believe I hit the wrong button by mistake. The above post was intended as a response to Sithril's response of my earlier post. My apologies.
