Yes, because everyone's sheeple and surely past results mean nothing about how things are likely to go! And it's not as if quite a few members of the commentariat have ALSO mentioned that they're having trouble keeping their guildies (or themselves!) interested as Wrath starts feeling more and more like old news. Or work, take your pick.

Not talking about something doesn't stop it. People are still going to be caught up in the anticipation (and testing!) of Cataclysm. They're still going to be sick of yet another ICC or daily heroic run. They're still going to have more important things to do over the summer than WoW. If reading others mentioning these things helps someone realize they feel that way, too, then talking about it will help them choose an option that'll make them happier. That's a good thing.
