My point was that people should always play the game to have fun and not mindlessly grind gear because everyone else is grinding gear. There is a reason Blizzard are taking away the second raid id and that is because apparently large numbers of players feel compelled to grind so much the game loses its fun. Once upon a time you needed to grind from dungeon blues to tier 3 gear in a linear fashion, that is no longer the case.Getting gear from raiding should be secondary to experiencing the fights and progressing as a guild. Also past performance isn't a guarantee of future results. The BC lull was nothing like the classic lull (partly because the gear jump wasn't as massive, and it will be even less in Cata).
