MMO Roundup: Last week on Massively

Ask Massively: Send us your questions! Do you like WoW.com's daily feature The Queue? Do you have questions about other MMOs as well? Then you might be interested in this feature from Massively! If you have questions regarding anything related to MMOs, we want to hear. Are you confused about the lore in Aion? Are you wracking your brain trying to remember which MMOs closed in 2008? Do you sit awake at night trying to remember what Brad McQuaid is famous for? We might just be able to help.

DDO jumps to third-most-popular spot in MMO survey Market research company NPD has completed its annual survey of online gamers with some fascinating results. They surveyed nearly 19,000 gamers of all ages in January of this year, looking at every aspect from hours played per week to what former WoW fans are currently playing. The results are interesting not only for their variety but because this is such an extensive survey from a company that's been doing this very thing for years.

Species and advanced careers unleashed in Star Wars: The Old Republic Star Wars: The Old Republic has revealed its first species. In an exclusive play session with TheGalacticStruggle.com, Bioware revealed the first non-human species whose story you will be able to tell: Rattataki.

The purest form of the MMO and the destruction of society There is the design for a game out there that would truly be the end of all other games. It would be perfectly balanced, with content enough for lovers of PvP and PvE to enjoy the game equally. There would be no questions of developer ploys to trick us out of more money, of unequal loot distribution, or of whether it rewarded time or skill more evenly. There would be no option but to play it ... which is why we should be happy that it currently only exists as the centerpiece of an SMBC Theater short.
Difficulty sliders and grind reduction due for Champions Online With additions like the melee review patch and the first adventure pack either being out or coming on fast, the obvious question about Champions Online is also the simplest to ask: What now? The latest installment of Ask Cryptic certainly does answer the question; unfortunately, said response includes saying "no" to some things that players want.

Age of Conan anniversary retrospective The recently released Rise of the Godslayer expansion, plus a wave of generally positive buzz, have conspired to reverse the fortunes that Funcom's ambitious Hyborian MMORPG experienced during its rocky launch. Two years is an eternity in the computer gaming world, and the game bears little more than a skin-deep resemblance to the title that launched way back in May 2008.

Marvel Super Hero Squad Online revealed Marvel fans, rejoice. Your one shining MMORPG moment has been officially announced. Gazillion Entertainment today unveiled Super Hero Squad Online, which gives players the ability to master the talents of Marvel universe notables including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Iron Man, War Machine and more.

iPhone apps for your favorite MMOs As much as we love our MMOs, keeping track of our characters, maps, ingredients, friends and everything else can't always be juggled while online. And often we want to keep track of in-game activities and friends while offline. As a result, many iPhone apps have sprung up, official and unofficial, to help you stay in the game.

-1 to internet...
When is the old republic supposed to be released? Or has it been already? I've tried looking it up... but I think I may be too pretty to figure these things out on my own /sigh.

Guns: too large, too bulky.
Holding Guns: um...with fingertips? Seriously, no grip?
Expression: Ho-hum...I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bored...
The environment looks good, the landscape looks good, but they need a little work on the character models.
Of course, when you compare it to the character models uses in WoW.........

I want eve-insider.com(later to be renamed eve.com). I love WoW, and as such, enjoy WoW.com. I want mostly clever writers mildly and subtly delivering me news about my other favorite game with the same snark and cultural relevance.
AOL News/Massively network, hear my call and cater to me! I matter more than the combined Muslin female lesbian gamer and black gay bible thumper demographics put together!(So not much)

Was I downrated for talking about another MMO on the 'other MMO' post? (on topic)
Or for suggesting that there aren't many openly gay female Muslim gamers, or very many homosexual and African American bible thumpers? (You really think there are a lot of orthodox bigots that are black and/or gay?)

I enjoy WoW.com's "daily" feature The Queue!
