We covered the first part of Erunno's Wardens of Azeroth yesterday, which makes today the day for Wardens of Azeroth part 2. Yesterday, I was focused on how its silent nature made the machinima feel more interactive to me. Since Erunno wasn't clearly spelling out every detail of the plot, the audience was left to fill out the story in their imagination. Today, I wanted to talk a little more about that.
A huge part of any roleplay game is the role. And even if you're not a roleplayer, you still get a certain sense of your character and the story behind that character. The whole darn game is firmly rooted in the imagination. Machinimas like Wardens of Azeroth do more than just spin out their own tale. They encourage and empower the players themselves to embrace creativity when playing WoW, and really think about how the lore and characters all come together in a final piece of art. I don't know if that was Erunno's goal, of course, but that was certainly an affect of this movie.

That white dragon should try walking around in MY neighborhood.... People would say, "Hey! Look at that dragon!" Then they'd probably never stop taking about it.
Awesome Machinima. Probably the best I've seen in a long, long time. Like you said, the silent aspect causes this machinima to have a much larger impact (on me). Good scripting, great story!
It is a really good machinima. However, the johnny cash song at the end kinda took me out of the feel of it all. I believe it was the only 'lyrical' song used in both parts. Almost would have rather had just the instrumental version of that song, as it obviously still fits
That was amazing! I just watched all 3 for the first time, and it was soooo good. I especially loved in Wardens of Azeroth part 1 where he went to the Caverns of Time and learned why the Dark Portal must be opened.
I held off commenting on this yesterday because I wanted to watch part two first.
WOW... I say that too much but I really mean it this time. ;-p
That's a very well done video and I do think the lack of dialogue added to the depth. I loved that the white drake figured that his education required seeing things from the pov of the black flight. And yet, he found his true heart, and ways of the Black were not to be his ways. :)
Ending on Cash's cover of "Hurt" was a very nice touch. Though, I love that song so much that it could be used in a video about happy bunnies and unicorns and I'd still love it.
Wonderful film Erunno. I love how you've taken this simple mount in game and asked, "what would be this being's story in the lore?" Truly beautiful.
On a side note - The more beautiful the machinima the more regrettable the male Nelf model is to me. Why BLIZZARD, WHY!?

You *affect* things. Things cause an *effect.* I believe you have the two confused.
