I could never get comfortable with the ArcHUD/IceHUD format, I will probably give it another shot. I need to set up my laptop for WoW so I can play on an upcoming vacation and, being a much smaller screen, something like this would probably help with saving some space.
/sigh
Unfortunately, setting up a new UI is one of those love/hate things for me. I love the process and the finished product, but it can be sooooo frustrating until everything finally clicks.

Suggestion: Play with the transparency options to make the bars almost completely transparent when not in combat, and partially so when in combat. The full 100% all the time can be extremely intrusive, when you really only need the bars very visible during fights.
Also, try out the straight/arc options and different background textures. This can make a huge difference also in how intrusive you find the bars.

I go with full on when in combat, 30% transparent when out of combat and regenerating, and invisible when OOC and at 100%.
I only use this on my rogue because for other classes I need to watch CD's and I have my unit frames down near my button trays anyway. It was the easiest and nicest unit frame mod I have ever set up.
