Yumfries examined the legend of the Celestial Steed back in the first episode of Nub Tales. Now, he's taking on a whole new matter by looking at the epic weapon known as Shadowmourne. As bonus, Selserene guest stars as a female player in this movie, Nub Tales ep. 2: Shadowmourne.
I'm really loving this series by Yumfries. While I acknowledge the high art of story-based machinima, I have to admit that my usual favorite is comedy and parody. I like the spotlight that comedy shines on the WoW community, highlighting and criticizing some of our most absurd quirks. Yumfries is doing a great job of exactly that, so I'm going to be excited about every episode we get.
Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an e-mail at machinima AT wow DOT com.
I felt like I was watching a really bad night of trade chat and my ignore list was full.
I wanted to laugh, but I just couldnt. It wasnt very funny.
That weapon takes alot to get, its not like you can /roll or "Hey, Im have boobz, give me lootz" and get it. So, maybe the Noob concept is lost on me, cause if ya have the time and money to do the quest, not to mention the class, Good for you.
i interpreted this as that same trade chat you described, but what would happen if those noobs that link [Shadowmourn] all day long actually got a hold of one.
You know that guy in that youtube, the one who won Shadowmourne, who sat in Dal with it out so all could see, who had an internet goat... umm girlfriend, who bragged he was was the greatest human alive, said it was real hard to get and took mad skillz and how owning the axe's pixels makes them a panty magnet;
You don't see the humour because you sound almost just like him.
Wildthings, your a perfect example of what this video is about. People who think that getting loot is hard and you need to be in awe of it and people should stand up and salute you for having it. These people tend to think having these awesome digital loots will someone make them feel fullfilled in real life.
The axe is time consuming to make, its not hard to make. Getting a PHD is hard, raiding everynight and spending all your time in a video game is not. Thus the video is making fun of you, prolly why you dont like it.
What's the music score at th part where Shadowmourne starts yammering on about BG's and stuff? Isn't that a score from Transformers 2 or something? Anybody for the name of it?
Honestly, and this is coming from someone who is in an 11/12 Heroic Guild.. Getting Shadowmourne is indeed pretty simple to acquire. All you have to do is: A) Have gold to make Shadow's Edge B) Go to ICC 2 weeks in a Row to obtain "souls" (Yes, 10m does count), C) Infuse it, 1) Do the Abom on Putricide NORMAL, Soak a Blood Mirror and get the first bite on BQL, Take 4 frost breath on Sindragosa. That's about it. A pug can achieve this, and from there on it's just getting Shadowfrost Shards - which, I believe, takes a long time but it's completely RNG Based and soooo simple. You don't need to kill Hardmodes for Shards, you don't need to kill hardmodes to complete a quest and a majority of the pugs I have seen in my experience have the ability to atleast clear 11/12 normal in 25m.
Juggernaut's alt group has one, as does their main raid. Case and point. Whoever is saying "Shadowmourne is SOOOOOOOO hard to get" is probably a casual and has no right saying whether or not something is difficult when it is applied to PVE.
OT DK in our guild logs on for 4 hours a night, 3 times a week is all. 1 night for 25 man, 1 night for 10 man, and one night for farming/dailies to buy stuff. Its all he ever plays wow.
Which is a whole lot less than most "casuals".
He got shadowmorne last week.
Its not a casual/hardcore things, its more about being smart enough to join a guild that progresses, people don't stand in fires, so you can get 11/12 most nights in 4 hours. Thats all it really takes.

Really disliked the first one, but this one has nice critique of people who just play wow for prick waving.
