The Queue: Here comes the sun

It's 88 degrees outside here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That doesn't sound too bad, but humidity is high and there's an ozone advisory in action. If you don't know what an ozone advisory is, it's basically when they tell you to stay indoors and don't do anything. I would complain about the heat if I didn't love my air conditioning so much. Still, it's quite the change from last week's low 50s.
What does this have to do with Warcraft? Absolutely nothing, so let's move on.
Moorit asked:
"When flying is introduced to the old world in Cataclysm, will the cities be no fly zones like Dalaran or flyable zones like Shattrath? If we don't know the real answer to this yet, which do you think would be better?"
It's probably too early to say whether cities will be no fly zones or not. I'm not a big fan of Dalaran being a no fly zone, but I'm also not a fan of everybody hovering 3 feet above the ground on their various enormous drakes ensuring you never see the ground in the city ever. It's like when people get on their mammoths and dogpile on the mailbox, except every single player in the city has a mammoth. That flies.
What I would like to see is a reasonable minimum flying height. You can fly over the cities no problem, you can mount up and lift off and fly to the other end of the city no problem, but if you don't go up to 30-40 yards above ground right away you get thrown back off of your mount and can't use another flying mount for a minute or so. That way you can't just spam your drake on the mailbox endlessly.
thegatherer asked:
"What is your most hated question, or if there isn't one, what question would you dread answering the most?"
Pretty much anything about the Cataclysm endgame. Most of the questions are things we can't possibly know yet. We have no idea what the DPS landscape will be, we have no idea how quickly raid content will be released, we have no idea how quickly you'll gear up at 85, we don't know any of that. We certainly don't know what the encounter with Deathwing will be like. Any question about Cataclysm endgame is either automatically skipped or gets the Magic 8 Ball treatment.
If WoW.com had a time machine, we would happily answer these questions for you guys. Until those are invented though, we can't do much for you.
pancakes asked:
"What's the deal with airline food?"
It's a trap to catch suckers that don't know how to stash granola bars and trail mix in their carry on bag.
Darkytail asked:
"Am I the only one annoyed at the fact that Alliance only gets half a race? I don't want worgen to be in human form most of the time, that sucks!"
You won't be in human form most of the time unless you choose to be. The worgen transformation racial lets you switch between human and worgen as you please out of combat, but you never ever have to use it if you don't want to. Just stay a worgen. If you decide to switch back to human, combat makes you revert to a worgen anyway.
You will not be a human most of the time. I suspect you will be a human a very small fraction of the time.

:D George Harrison reference ftw!
And I think it'd be awesome for Horde to get 'half a race'. Tauren shapeshifting into Mad Cows? Yes please.

So what sort of DPS do you think we'll see at 85?
Are they going to gate things in Cata like they did with ToC and ICC?
Is it going to be as easy to gear up at 85 as it is now?
Any speculation on Deathwing's Mechanics?
How much gold will we get per quest at 85?
How much wood can a wood chuck actually chuck?
Wild Colors May 24th 2010 4:10PM
We'll see dps in the range of 42. There will be 42 gates in Cataclysm raiding. It will take you 42 weeks to gear up in Cata. Deathwing will have 42 mechanics. You'll get 42 gold per quest.
Woodchucks can't chuck wood.

If a woodchuck could chuck wood, it would chuck one chuck of wood, except on Groundhog's Day when it would be busy looking for its shadow.

Will we ever fight Kil'Jaeden's lower half?
