One thing I always find hard to accept about other people's UI is the lack of space given to chat windows. In Perasites UI for example, he has a tiny chat window with about enought space for 9 lines of text and 6 words per line - one screeny above has a DK's name taking half a line! How can you stay ontop of things with such a small amount of space for text! In a 25 man raid, guildies talking, getting whispers etc, perhaps getting /1 General text, surely it is impossible to keep up!I go the other way and have probably have too much space for chat windows (I have 3, one for Guild/Officer, one for group (/ra /p /bg) and a last one for system and general), but I still find i miss stuff! Be interested to see what others think.

I was going to mention the tiny chat box too.It really would drive me insane to have such little space for text there. As for having the micro menu + stance bar present; Perasite should consider an addon like Opie Rings, for stances and the keybinds for the micromenu.Maybe put the main action bar there and subsidiary bars to the left. Or even move Grid up a tad and have unit frames down there at the bottom.

I agree on the lack of chat space, although I like to keep all my chats in one tabbed window instead of several like others prefer. I'm not an officer though, so I may not have to pay attention to many different channels that others need. The chat window takes up a good 1/4 of my screen at 1920x1200I usually have my main window show guild chat, party, raid, whispers, and general (nobody talks in general). In a second tab, I have trade. In a third, I have guild only (for catching up). In a fourth tab I have party, raid, whisper and events only for when I want to focus on raiding. The fifth tab is whisper only. One big big suggestion to this week's UI, get rid of all those buff icons and get OPIE!http://www.wow.com/2008/06/29/addon-spotlight-opie/You can probably eliminate most of your buttons and make room for a lot more stuff. The only things that should be visible should be stuff you actually constantly need, and I doubt anybody is actively buffing during a fight unless right after a tank death and battle rez. Even auras can be put on a ring and hidden most of the time.

Hehe Bonksy beat me to it.You can probably also put Skada beneath Grid and use that entire panel for chat.Honestly you don't need to know the top 10 threat list, just enough for the tanks and the next one or two in line in case somebody needs a hand of salvation.I bet if you remove the aura and menu bar and move pally power and Skada below Grid, it will make a much nicer fit.Hate PallyPower by the way, it looks so damn ugly and is so friggin unusable with the popups on mouseover covering other classes. Question for Addon Mailbag, is there ANY addon for pally buffing that is compatible with PallyPower but isn't so terribad and horribly ugly?

@BonksyI can't tell if they're using Titan Panels or not, but if not they should. Then they could use Titan Micromenu to move the menu up to the top bar...http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info14482-Titan-MicroMenu.htmlTitan Panel also has a bag button so that can go too. If they used the onebag/onebank/onering addons then they could get rid of the key-ring button too.I'd also group the buttons in the center of the screen, along with my unit frame, my target's unit frame, and my target's target unit frame. Something like this...http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/6164/wowscrnshot031310035119.jpg...Krickhttp://www.tankadin.com
