My beef with actually purchasing this is in my experience the WoW economy just doesn't demand it. I can list all my auctions before I go to work - and they either sell or not the following day.
Its barely capitalism - a good chunk of everything on there is sold for way less than the actual value (sometimes below vendor value) - I'd honestly say only 20-30 percent of all the items in the games economy demand a profit as it stands currently. This is evident in wow.com's own articles about how to get rich - many of which have little to do with making stuff to sell.
If the WoW economy was more like EvE Online (where I can post needs/bounties on items) - I can see paying for it.
