Any insight into what the design intent for varying buff durations could be? Why, for example, are paladins' blessing buffs 10/30 mins, while druids and mages have 30/60 min buffs, and others, like Horn of Winter and warrior buffs are just a few minutes? What is the point in making us keep track of all these buffs? I've been leveling a paladin tank through the dungeon finder lately, and let me tell you, it's a pain in the ass having to refresh blessings on everyone every 10 minutes.

The warrior would lose his voice if he was shouting for an hour straight.

Look on the bright side.
At least it's not every 5 minutes. ;D

If you get PallyPower it's not a pain, it just takes five clicks and you're done.

They're just tryin' to rattle ya, kid. Throw you off your game. Don't let 'em. Hear me? Stay focused. Keep your eyes on the prize. This is where they separate the real buff artists from the wannabes and the also-rans. Greater men than we have succumbed to the confusion and annoyance of buff tracking. Gotten sick of it. Grown lazy. Failed to refresh Sanc on that hunter who ended up pulling Ony off the tank, or Wis on the tree who went OOM with Rotface at 6%. Don't let it happen to you. Keep at it, whatever it takes.
You learn this stuff now, you could be the greatest buff artist your server has ever seen.

Just be thankful they significantly increased the duration of paladin blessings!
Buffing after every pull was where it was at! Carrying 100 symbols that stack in 20s! Running both ways to Stormwind and back without any hearthstones, ports, summons, vendor bots, or giant mailbox covering vendor mammoths and in the SNOW to buy more! And us paladins liked it!
All joking aside, the original reasoning behind it was that more power buffs have shorter durations but in my opinion I think they got mixed up between the concept of buffing with the concept of cooldowns. If available, every serious raid or group will use every buff available, even going to extremes like MCing mobs in UBRS to get more fire resistance. So either its available or its not. I wish Blizz would just change the duration of all buffs to the one hour / 30 minute standard and be done with it. Or add a cooldown and force it to be used like one, like heroism/bloodlust, aura mastery, etc.

You know what grinds my gears? Getting into a VoA with 3 pallies, I set up pallypower, get the other pally to check free assignment, get it all sorted out, and the pally who doesn't have it puts kings on everyone. Man, why you gotta be like that.
