I'm from Australia and play on an Oceanic server. It is a majority-Alliance realm, but Horde side kicks their ass, and I'm not too sure about how things are on Alliance-side, but the server is almost always alive due to a pretty sizeable US player population and a Horde player can find several raids being advertised at any hour.

Any uncensored version? and holy BEEEP

The iTunes reviews for this podcast are funny. Seems the old hosts are still sorely missed.....
Michael Sacco May 26th 2010 9:37PM
Bear in mind that all of the "most helpful" reviews are over two years old.
Recent reviewers seem to enjoy the show quite a bit, which is what we aim for!

I think that this cast like the previous cast has good weeks and bad weeks and its just a matter of what you prefer. The current cast while yes less colorful does not spend a lot of time talking about stuff that nobody cares about like how easy it is to play a night elf hunter or how awesome a gnome warrior tank is. The analasys of what is going on in the game and the host's predictions are much better and as a rule I feel the show is much more informative than it was before. I like the absence of the chat channel as it was always a distraction and since I could so rarely listen live it never interested me that much. I think from a game mechanics standpoint the current cast far eclipses the old hosts and I will say that I like the direction they are going with it. But to those that do not like the direction that this show is going Mike Schramm and Mark Turpin do have another podcast that they do together that is more general gaming than just wow called the Incredible Podcast of Amazing Awesomeness or something like that and you can go listen to that...I still have time in my life to listen to both.

Really Sacco? I just checked the Most Recent reviews on iTunes, and all the reviews with the exception of one are bad (I'm not sure if the reviews are region based, but I'm in Aus). I'll give this one a listen at work tomorrow, but Matt McCurley grates my chesse, so I'm not hopeful.

wtb edit button. Meant to say, all the reviews freom 2010, are bad.
Squatstopee May 27th 2010 10:32AM
Yeah all the reviews I was referring to were 2010. On the iPhone you don't get the "most helpful" reviews that are voted up by the fans and the negative reviews are not downranked by said fans. The negative reviews are mostly spot on, talking over each other and guests, low quality mics, and a general monotony going on. I'm not a podcast listening type, I don't like talk radio either, and the first 20 minutes turned me away from this PC. I guess the hunting party is the only WoW PC I can take(love it)

I don't understand what the deal is there, then. The new hosts are so much better than the old ones, bar Turpster (English humour ftw).
Mike Schram used to speak over the top of everyone else, including his guests, answer his own questions and shout down anyone else who had a different opinion. It was revolting.

He's changed his ways on TIPOAA and only does this when someone starts mentioning micro transactions. mention that you bought sparkle ponies and off he goes lol. nothing against him. New hosts are doing great!
iammurlocftw May 28th 2010 10:38PM
woops one more thing a little off topic, is it just me or does sacco's image look kinda like luke skywalker
Dboy May 31st 2010 3:58AM
Thanks, iammurloc. I'll give his new show a listen. God, I hope he really has changed, though. I used to get so irritated at his ranting, bloated, dominating repetitiveness that I just couldn't listen any more.

Another great show although I keep hearing this strange beeping noise throughout the show. Also rossi I've removed the bugs from your house as per your request
alex May 27th 2010 5:25AM
I still really enjoy the show....here comes the cliché.
Keep it up!
:-P

Great show guys, as always.
I take it the bleeps are a response to some of the cursing that occurred on last weeks show. Did you guys get a telling off by any chance? lol
Anyway, sounds like you're having fun with it now. =D
Love the show. Keep up the good work guys! *thumbsup*

Interesting stuff about pug-killer bosses, which require coordination to down. It reminds me of Emalon when he first appeared. That was a definite pug-killer boss, to the point that for some time there were two kinds of VoA pugs, those that insisted on doing Archavon first because they wanted the easy loot pinata and could disband afterward, or those that insisted on Emalon first because they didnt want to get saved to a group that would probably wipe and disband after already doing Archavon. It seemed the simple requirement to switch dps to a specific add at specific times was too much for most pugs.
ICC pugs are suffering the same fate. You always see the trade recruitment of "LFM ICC, going 6+ bosses" and yet each and every one disbands after Saurfang or after the first wipe on Fester.

Ohnoes, swearing. Won't somebody *please* think of the children?
You know what's better than bleeping? Convincing morons who are offended by certain combinations of letters to not bother listening if they're so afraid of it.
dj_stevie_c May 27th 2010 8:14AM
I got one shotted by the bleeps.
They were at a much higher volume level than the talking and almost blew my eardrums out (while the talking was at a sensible level). A shame. And no the show isn't as good as before, it's a little disjointed and while the content is generally fine the show just doesn't flow for me.
Not sure I'll be listening again, not that I don't appreciate your efforts there's just not enough in there now to balance out the negatives.
Yes, the bleeps have turned me off.
Squatstopee May 27th 2010 9:58AM
This was pretty much my thoughts too. Lots of overtalking... Let each other finish a damn sentence before talking, and please buy better equipment. You guys get paid for this right? Show more professionalism.
Merch May 27th 2010 10:33AM
Overtalking is my number one pet peeve of podcasts. Just listened to the part where Sacco asked Rossi about portals in Cata. Matt McCurley starts answering, Sacco clarified that he was asking lore guy Rossi, but Matt McCurley KEEPS butting in. Repeatedly. Again and again and again. STOP IT. Just stop talking.
