Around Azeroth: Where the ladies wear no pants
Misogyny ahoy! Gnome warrior Gerben of <Brotherhood of the Just> on EU Argent Dawn-A does not like the whole pantsless player phenomenon, and he's taking steps to fix it. "The screenshot I took is one of me attacking a nude human. Yes, I don't like those people who always walk around in their undies. Like the woman in the picture. I mean, put on some pants! So I thought, why not get rid of those legs? She's not wearing a pants, why keep your legs?" Wow, those Ironforge guards are incredibly incompetent if they can't even stop someone from getting their legs chopped off in broad daylight.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as emailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use Alt Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

Why do I have a feeling that gnome is about to be torn apart with bare hands?..

Once again, it took me a moment to remember you Americans use "pants" instead of "trousers", as that girl is clearly wearing "pants" from where I'm sitting.

That's not misogyny! That's general misanthropy.

Ahhh Argent Dawn EU... on my server that realm is known as the ERP cesspool of doom =) My one time venture into Goldshire there still gives me nightmares.
Go Gerben, go! I support your battle against the nekkid!
Ringo Flinthammer May 27th 2010 10:21AM
Is there a server of any sort where Goldshire isn't a cesspool?
Kittens May 27th 2010 10:31AM
I think the rumors are slightly exaggerated.. I've only seen it on Argent Dawn (where I was also treated to ALL the ERP cliches at once.. yay :( ). On my own server, which is also RP, I have never ever seen it despite visiting Goldshire quite a lot while leveling some humans or just hanging out there during seasonal events.

My server's Goldshire is just full of people dueling. All...the...time...
Zuckerdachs May 27th 2010 11:31AM
My server's Goldshire is the dueling capital, too. The ERP happens in the Gilded Rose. Yes, that's the inn between the bank and AH in Stormwind. Yes, you can see the emotes at the mailbox. Uhuhuhhhgg.

I dont think its THAT bad. Then again I mostly log-in at evening when I check where people are.
So big shout out for people in Argent dawn. You are awesome so far. Nice to go and have small break from grinding.

How can you call her nude - she is wearing undies. Its so silly - I keep on seeing people referring to chars in wow as nude while they still keep theur underwear on. Or is the american deifinition of someone being nude a person wearing underwear? What do you call people that do not wear anything at all then?
Zalvi24 May 27th 2010 10:27AM
we call them naked people
Umehte May 27th 2010 10:27AM
Wardrobe Malfunction
MusedMoose May 27th 2010 10:36AM
I think people call them nude because they're not wearing any clothes, as actual nudity isn't possible in WoW. And the female in this picture is still wearing a shirt of some sort. So I don't get it either.
And yes, in the US, we do call someone without any clothes on 'nude'. Among other things. ^_^

"Or is the american deifinition of someone being nude a person wearing underwear?"
I dunno. Maybe you should ask Gerben of <Brotherhood of the Just> on EU Argent Dawn. You know...the European who wrote in and used the word nude?
