This might be a stupid question, but that's what wow rookie is for, right?
I'm a new Druid. I seem to always have trouble finding and targeting the dead. Does anyone have any tips in helping me to find/target my fallen brethren, especially while in the panic of combat?
Thanks.

Just click their portrait and cast the res spell. unless they released, theb like the article says you have to find their body and click the res spell then click their body. also, i don't know if it's a bug or not, but on three seperate ocasions using the lfd tool, players on other realms released and their bodies disapeared. i watched a player die, finish fighting and went to res him ans his body was gone. he was still at the GY so he hadnt zoned in yet.'

If they haven't released, which they should not have, you can click on their party frame to target their body.

Find an addon that's easy to use like healbot. I use Grid because I'm an information junkie and it is extremely configurable (but not terribly user-friendly up front) Any decent unit-frame addon will allow you to target that player's frame rather than having to find their corpse. Then just cast the rez with the frame targeted, you don't have to click on the corpse.
Add another addon like Rangecolors will change the button color of the spell if your target is out of range. Very helpful when you're spamming rez while clicking their frame and nothing is happening. If the button is red it falls back on "I'm by the pile of rocks...no, not that one...go left...no MY left"
Good luck, welcome to the world of healing :) You'll like it here, we have cookies

If they have released you use the spell from your spellbook and then target their body and click. You are sitting at a computer, it's not that strenuous to click a few more times. It's not that big of a pain to do if it will save time. If there are a group of mob bodies on top of the player.... Go loot some of them, you were going to anyways.

I use VuhDo. It's set up (out of the box) so I can click and do various healing spells or whatever based on which button I clicked with. If they are dead, it always rezzes them (provided they were smart and did not release). It's very nice.
