We all are not selfless while playing. We play for having fun, and playing in the less populated faction on a server usually isn't much fun.Just take a look at you realmforum. People use to open threads there frequently to ask wether the server is worth transfering to or rerolling on.The questions they're asking usually are: How long do you wait for BGs and Dungeonfinder to open? Are there many successful raiding guilds? Is there a lot of possibility to PUG raids with alts? While BGs and Dungeonfinder might be more of a realmpool issue, the answers on my realm, where there's estimatedly twice as much Alliance than Horde, always are: Alliance-side all is well, as much raiding as you please, no long wait for BGs... Horde-side's awful, no good raiding guilds, few PUGs, long wait times. This way the effect is self-enhancing. I havn't met someone who transfered from another realm on Horde side for ages. But I'm already used to seeing familar nicknames suddenly in the other faction.
