Wrath of the Gnoll King was an entry into Alienware's Rise to Power contest by Necka and Kiroshi. Not only is it a great video in its own right, it also features some shenanigans by everyone's favorite boss mob: Hogger. This video was inspired by a similar story line in Dark Legacy Comics, and it actually is the second machinima to share that source material. The first was A Day In The Life by X-Cross for the BlizzCon 2009 machinima contest. I think it says a lot about the quality of that web comic that it's inspired multiple machinima makers.
In quick summary, Wrath of the Gnoll King tells the story of a band of NPCs that is tired of the player tyranny. Led by Hogger, they take arms against their sea of troubles, eventually even going so far as to topple the ultimate bad guy. The video is gorgeous to watch, showing off Necka's incredible machinimation skills. I would have liked to see more interactions between the NPC cast, but time limits keep such things from being possible. Ultimately, it was a great movie and will probably be a fun one to go back and re-watch from time to time.

One thing I particularly took away from this vid is how the physical impacts (of weapons and orcs to the ground) seem so much more powerful, and only because of that slight screen shake that we don't see in-game. Works wonders.
That was my favorite part, too. That must have taken some good coordination to get everyone to dismount at the same time, plus a camera man on the ground to film the bodies hitting. Nice job! :D
LOL! I love Hogger's voice! That was a very fun Vid. It shows how bad some of the vanilla npcs models are compared to later stuff. I hope they get some love in cata. :)

Funniest movie I've seen about Warcraft yet. The Tank panicking after seeing the
boss ignoring him and going after the caster is awesome.

Wait, wasn't there a webcomic with the same theme, but with an Orc NPC in-charge? It even had the "go after the healers" bit.

Funny movie, but if they didn't acknowledge the Dark Legacy storyline this was inspired by, I was prepared to write a very sternly worded letter.
Also, I'm pretty sure everyone who has ever tanked anything has, at some point, done the "no no no no no..." thing from 2:00.

Now that's scary..
