I can't imagine a guild where I'm expected to give things that I earn through my own efforts to other guildies.
What's next? They're entitled to your skinning mats that you got while soloing? They're entitled to your disenchanting mats that you got while doing your daily dungeon?
The item was yours. You did something nice for a guildie (selling it at a lower price); I can't imagine what more someone could be expecting from you.
