I mostly agree with everything said about the hilt, but let's look at this from a different angle. Your guildies wanted you to just give this 10k item to a guildie. Not a generous discount, straight out GIVE. What they were actually saying is, We demand you pay 10,000g so this random guild member can have this weapon. If a guild said that, it would be absurd right? Take this example. You and a guild member are in a GDKP run. A weapon drops that you want. You whisper your guildie, "I want that weapon". He replies, "Okay?.." You say, "Yes, buy it for me". He then says, "Yeah right, I'm not spending 3k so you can have a weapon." And that would be why your guild members are idiots.
