Patch 3.3.5: Regional release schedule

While those of us in North America are excited, this likely means that patch 3.3.5 will have some issues at the start. Be prepared for hotfixes and realm restarts until things are ironed out.
In patch 3.3.5, we will be introducing our new Battle.net system, which opens up new communication options for World of Warcraft players and lays the groundwork for integration with future Blizzard games, such as StarCraft II. In order to ensure that the implementation of this major new system goes as smoothly as possible, we plan to release the patch to North American realms first, with Europe, Korea, and the region of Taiwan following approximately one week afterward.

Instant HalionHC first kill advantage..

Because world first in a 1boss filler raid is serious business, right? :)

I thought Operation: Gnomer and Zalazane's Fall were scheduled for patch 3.3.9, not 3.3.5?
Chrisamcnicholas Jun 1st 2010 1:40PM
Nope.
phoenixblight Jun 1st 2010 1:42PM
No just the World Events that lead to that.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that Operation: Gnomer et.al. was only on the PTR because the PTR provided a convenient opportunity for the wow Devs to test the encounters, and wasn't indicative that they'd be included in the upcoming patch...
Falcom Jun 1st 2010 1:43PM
The events are on the 3.3.5 PTR right now, so they will probably be in the release version as well.
Viction Jun 1st 2010 1:45PM
Yeah. THis is what the blue post says, "The events themselves are not currently scheduled to go live with patch 3.3.5. We're simply taking the opportunity on the PTRs to test these events while they're up and running in case we do not have another opportunity to do so before marking these events live."
colonelcarter1 Jun 1st 2010 1:47PM
Zalazane's fall and gnomer are NOT in 3.3.5. They were just being tested on the ptr. They will be released in a much later patch, shortly before the Cataclysm lead up event is to take place.

I'm still wondering where people are getting the 3.3.9 patch number from.
The previews on the site are under the url 3p9, that means 3.9, and that is just a placeholder number.

The two retaking homeland events will have staggered releases, too. Zalazane's fall is currently planned for patch 3.3.awesome, and Operation: Gnomer is planned for patch 3.3.huge.disappointment.
Viction Jun 1st 2010 1:42PM
I thought that Operation: Gnomeregan and Zalazane's Fall were just being tested and that they weren't actually going live with 3.3.5.
Muse Jun 2nd 2010 4:38AM
Which isn't preventing the game info from being patched in with 3.3.5. Blizzard said that the event can be turned on server-side when it's time for it, it wont come alive automagically with the patch.

I would say it's so US realms can get the first kills for a change but that would be silly ;)
good luck to you Real ID beta testers for us Europeans hehe

That's going to be one rough week

I am happy there's Ruby Sanctum to get LFG/LFM going again. Hopefully people don't over-gear it too soon. I was a little bit depressed to find out I have suddenly had (the most obtainable) T10 level gears. Now the content is either face-roll-able or too challenging to sustain >2 wipes...
Well, I guess that's what gaming is about, to give people some surmountable challenge everyday so that we go to sleep happy.
phoenixblight Jun 1st 2010 2:25PM
Ruby Sanctum is the same item level as ICC so people have already over geared it if they have "face rolled" through ICC. Its just a new content that will be done within a month.
Curtis Townson Jun 1st 2010 4:31PM
For clarity's sake, the loot will be item level 258 (10p) and 271 (25p), making it 7 item levels higher than ICC gear, and the same level as The Lich King's loot table. Some items from Halion will easily be best-in-slot for many classes.
Josin Jun 1st 2010 1:48PM
Is it weird that I'd rather wait for Ruby Sanctum in order to get to Operation: Gnomeregan first?
Ringo Flinthammer Jun 1st 2010 1:53PM
Not weird at all.
Ruby Sanctum will be cool ONCE (although it'd be cooler if there was finally an ICC 25-level DPS gun, as opposed to tanking guns, but nope).
Gnomeregan/Echo Isles is a chance to participate in the game world permanently changing and thus, is much more of a big deal.
