Got to admire the diligence of the Lakeshire bridge-builder :)
/salute
... then again, 11.5 million subscribers, probably around 3 million roll Alliance, at least 1 million characters must have done that quest by now... what's happening to all those nails? :/
Jamie Jun 2nd 2010 10:04AM
My theory is they're saving all the nails to melt down into one giant nail and then they'll craft a giant plank from a world tree or whatever giant enough tree is available, somehow constructing the world's most giant plank with a nail in it.
Such a weapon of such overwhelming power could easily win the war against the Horde. Hogger or Deathwing - Lakeshire Bridge was merely a setback!

My friends and I wrote about 5 things we hate/love about WOTLK:

My friend wrote an extensive newbie DK tanking guide. There are seven parts in all. Here is the link to the intro:

It's a decent idea for an article, but it desperately needs a grammar check.
"With purple gears falling like rain." "Being inside a guild is so pointless now. To be fair Guild has never been a strong construct for WOW. Many other games does this much better." "It became okay for everyone to rash in and AOE everything down."
Granted, the sentences that are technically correct are written in the stilted style of someone not familiar with the nuances of English writing, so I'm going to guess that you (or the person who wrote the article) don't speak English as your primary language?

Nice article, but I disagree with you on number 2 & 4 in the dislikes.
Microtransactions are fine as long as they are for items that don't give you an in-game advantage. So pets and mounts shouldn't be a problem.
We didn't have faction changes/server moves before (Other than the occasional FCMs when some servers needed an infusion on new blood).
I'm not sure server/faction changes are good though.
With regards to Craftable BoPs being loss makers: :-o
I have made 10s of thosands just by crafting with my tailor and leatherworker.
I almost always have one of each ilvl 245 item that can be crafted on the AH and they will usually sell at a profit of 700g-1500g depending on the item.
Early on in the expansion I made an absolute killing on bags, but that market is dead now.
Tailoring especially has funded epic flight on all my 80 and allowed my to kit out my fresh 80s in the top end craftables...

@Cyanea. Nope. It is my third language in fact.
Cyanea Jun 2nd 2010 10:45AM
More languages than me. :P
I'd have a fluent English-speaking friend look posts over before you publish them, just to clean up your sentences and give it those little tweaks and nuances that gets rid of that stilted writing feeling.
But still, good idea for a post.

I'm currently going for the loremaster achievement. Unfortunately when I factoin xferred from alliance to horde I lost credit for most the quests I already did. Its like having to lvl from 1-60 all over again.

Whoa... was that screenshot taken on Twisting Nether US? A guildmate started an impromptu Mammoth Conga Line through Dalaran yesterday, after all it was rush hour. She is going to get a kick out of this!
Kryndor Jun 2nd 2010 11:16AM
I think that would be the line that I started with Shasa yesterday on Twisting Nether. That was so great... except when the Alliance kept trying to jump in.

Top ten things I want to see. Please note there is no particular order to this.
1. More face time for each army regiment present.
Reason - I counted at least 4 individual NAMED alliance regiments. Three of them served as leveling quest hubs and then vanished off the face of the earth. What happened to the Westfall boys in Grizzly Hills?
2. Unique/Vanity items obtainable in each zone.
Reason - I want a reason to go back other then the scenery. Come on Blizzard, I can give you a list for each and every zone of unique items and how to obtain them.
3. Increase number of Active NPC's with random appearances
Reason - I don't know about the rest of you but I am about to pop the head off of the little kid that keeps stealing the girls doll in Stormwind
4. More Gnomes
Reason - Why not?
5. A city for the Gnomes
Reason - for when #4 gets annoying
6. To see all intended zones/raids be completed.
Reason - We missed out on so much in WotLK
7. Argent Tournament moved to Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms and improved.
8. Mage/Shaman/Boomkin Legendary Weapons to go with the elemental theme.
9. Epic Quest lines with Vanity Item Rewards that do not require raiding.
Reason - I am SICK of just grinding for everything. Lets throw back in some exploration.
10. More time-of-day/week based events. (IE: Interaction with the NPC's)
Reason - Dalaran's beer garden never saw much use outside of the RP realms. Who wouldn't want to convince a drunk dwarf or ogre to start a fight inside a bar before being hauled off?

wow thats alot of mamoths....... lol alliance is the best...... even though i haave a 80 orc hunter
obiwancookie1995 Jun 2nd 2010 6:46PM
