"I've always wondered what that big portal in Stormwind is. It's behind a big gate, that stops you from entering it, in the Canals. After some research into it I wasn't able to find out much more than it might be a forgotten instance."

You're seeing the Stormwind Vault. It's a Stockades-like instance, but it's never been implemented. Yet strangely, there's a dungeon entrance picture for it that's entirely different than the graphic for the Stockades. It's not accessible right now. Blizzard hasn't said anything recently about what their plans are to do with it. For now it's just an interesting relic.

This got me thinking about Stormwind Vault. I'll write an article up with more information soon.

"if you want a head start on level 81 then fill up your quest log with finished dailies the day before release and turn them all in when you log on. As another comment mentioned you do not build rested at Max level but you do keep any that you had left over."

Right, this should work. Blizzard could dump the quest logs of all characters when Cataclysm launches, but we'll know this ahead of time. We'll be able to test this quest saving method on the Cataclysm beta realm, so look for a confirmation of "Yes, this 100% works" in the near future. And if it does work, the place to load up on dailies will be the Argent Tournament, since all the turn in spots are so beautifully close to each other.

"With the new Battle.Net ID system coming in patch 3.3.5, I was wondering if cross-realm groups would become possible? For example, I'm on Kil'Jaeden and have friends on Thunderlord. If I saw the Thunderlord people online, could I invite them to a 5-man group before queueing in the Dungeon Finder?"

Not yet. The dungeon finder will continue to work as is, but selecting player X from realm Y to group with specifically will not be an option in patch 3.3.5. Obviously the underlying technology is there, and it's just a question of whether or not Blizzard wants to implement this in the game. Will they? I'm gonna go out an a limb here and say eventually. That might mean in a year or two, or five years down the line.

Either way there are no plans that I've heard of to implement this selected cross-realm grouping.

"If a question isn't answered in The Queue, should I assume the author just doesn't know or should I try asking it once or twice more in case it wasn't noticed? Are all the comments read or does the author only read until he/she has enough questions for the days article? Asking because sometime I have a question for The Queue, but when I see the comments already up to 6+ pages I wonder if it's better to just try and ask next time."

Please ask again. We try to answer 3 to 5 questions a day, and there are dozens of questions left. If it seems like we're constantly skipping it, tweet us or email us. Ask nicely and you'll be even more likely to get a response (not that your question wasn't nice, it was).

This "asking nicely" thing also applies to the WoW forums and Blizzard's blues. A little bit of niceness can go a long way in this internet world we all live in.
